They just re-released this, and I never tried the original release, but this is really on point. Cryo hopped, dry taste, hoppy, but not too bitter. For me this is close to perfection. It has that hoppiness that Hop heads crave, but without the bitterness. I’m actually not sure if this is limited release, seasonal, or a one time thing, but I hope it sticks around. I haven’t had anything from Hop valley that has blown my mind...until now. Hoping this dankness is here to stay, because I can destroy this stuff without even thinking about it. Dangerously crushable. Will repeat as often as possible. Well executed Hop Valley.

All of Hop Valley's Cryo hops "stash" beers are very low in IBU. At 45 IBUs, this is not really an IPA, it's an APA (American Pale Ale). An IPA would be at least 50 IBU, and up to 70 if you like more bitter IPAs. The low IBU has the result of making it taste very sweet in flavor and body.
Perhaps the Miller Coors ownership of Hop Valley is causing them to make their beers less hoppy in order to make them more accessible to drinkers who like Coors Light? Whatever the reason, Bubble Stash is one of the better low-IBU sweet "IPAs" in the series - a decent fruity summer drinking beach beer.
Look: Pale yellow color, cloudy / hazy.
Smell: Citrus and sweet fruit - passionfruit, grapefruit, orange.
Taste: Citrusy hop flavor mixed with fruity sweetness.
Feel: A bit sticky on the palate, medium bodied.

This beer straddles the line between session IPA and full fledged IPA and for the style, this is dynamite.
Great big hop flavors without much bitterness. Indeed can states 45 IBU. Big tingling hop flavors on the tongue after a great albeit subdued aroma (I don’t have the best sense of smell sometimes so it may smell amazing). Big wet hop stone fruits (grapefruit, orange...complex, that’s why we love mosaic hops although I wonder what other hops are on the bill) on the tongue thanks to the mosaic hops and then finishes dry and makes you want to dive back in.
I just bought more for the beach tomorrow.

Aroma is sweet and fruity - non describe tropical fruits. Pours a light golden color - lots of head and bright carbonation. The mouthfeel is something to note - it's creamy and light - almost like it was a draft. Flavor is mildy bitter, crisp, almost a champagne character. This skews on the sweet hoppy side of the spectrum so a good choice for an introduction to IPAs. This is called an American IPA but I'd say it's more on the West Coast style. A nice beer - pick it up if you get the chance.

-Enjoyed at Spernard Road House in Anchorage Alaska 2020. On draft.
A: Golden orange is the coloring with a creamy topping fresh off the tap. Light carbonation factor. Nice full band of lacing runs down the vessel (std. pint glass).
S: Sweet fresh fruitiness opens up the aroma. Juicy, pineapple-mango comes to mind. Citrusy flower, dank herbal and dried stonefruit offer a small helping hand. Citrusy-grapefruit and breakfast juice (grapefruit) are abundant.
T: For flavor a crisp mention of grapefruit and semi-dry pineapple open. Crisp with a mid to high level of bittering factor mixes some wet juicy fruit, along with some dried citrusy pine hop cones. Malty sweetness, with bright tangerines and some flowery hops to balance. Touches of grassiness, some dried honey bitterness and bready malts. Dank herbal and pine resin rounds out.
M: Mouthful was very crisp, light to medium offering.
O: Crisp, wet nose, with a mixture of wet and dry hopping for flavor. Crushable at 6%, with a high rate of drinkability factoring in. Flowery dry hops adds just the right amount of finish to look forward to the next thirst quenching sip.

What a great, fun beer with dinner! Poured from draft, nice golden color with tight-bubble, dissolving head. Hops noticeable but not overwhelming. Some pine, a little citrusy, just nice balance with a meal. I think someone said ‘lively’ in the other reviews - perfect word for this beer! Not a ‘blow your mind’ beer, but a solid 4 overall for me.

12 oz. can - Freshness date of December 4, 2019 stamped on the bottom:
Pours slightly hazed golden yellow. A foamy head leaves trailing lace.
The smell is of dank resin, pine, pineapple, mango, papaya.
Not the fullest IPA but it is smooth, easy to drink and juicy.
An interesting IPA. Tropical with a dank quality. Sweet-leaning for an iPA, but still has enough bitterness to keep it in style. Worth checking out!
