Six pack from Winco (labelled as Red Ale @ 6% ABV.) Copper colored body with minimal head. Aroma: malt first, hops second, metallic third. Taste follows in the same fashion, what the the metallic taste taking over the finish. It's not huge, but the metallic finish is what you're left with, and diminishes the whole experience.

Served On-Tap
A — Pours a coppery dark red hue into the glass. Nice translucency and a very light off-white colored head on-top. Leaves behind some fair lacing along the inside of the glass.
S — Smell is pungent and bright, lots of piney resinous hops here. As well as a sweet caramel like sweetness underneath.
T — Taste is a nice balance of caramel sweetness and chewy malts, paired with a piney and bitter hop profile.
M — Dry and bitter, light-medium bodied, refreshing.
O — A nice NW Red ale, little to no sweetness is nice.

A: Reddish copper. Off white foam with sticky retention rings.
S: Hops, primarily in the pine resin variety. Mild sweetness of maple.
T: Totally different than the smell in that there is zero sweetness. Cool and juicy and mellow up front but slowly fades to bitter wet cedar and bitter pine needles. Dried leaves and tree sap finish long. I like it, but a tad more hoppy than I expected.
M: Finishes so so. The bitterness fades slowly. Leaves a little bit of dryness longer.
O: Nice for a hoppy red. A bit more hops than I expected leaving it not quite as sessionable as I would have hoped. Reds vary too much in IBUs in my opinion, we need two categories for hoppy and less hoppy.
