Appearance: Pours a slightly cloudy deep amber with one inch off-white head that dissipates rather quickly leaving minimal lacing.

Smell: Fruity citrus and hops.

Taste: Citrus - grapefruit, orange notes.

Feel: Carbonation is good. Crisp taste with good bitterness.

Overall: This is now one of my favorite IPA's. Balanced bitterness and citrus. Good beer!

This was poured into a nonic pint glass. The appearance was a light hazy copper color with a one to two finger white foamy head that dissipated within less than a minute. Slight stringy to semi-spider web lacing glazes around the glass. The smell starts off with a nice sweet grapefruit leading into a decent bitter pulp side and then the mangos and pineapple help to open it up just a tad more. Light peach and then a slight pine also come in to balance to sweet and slightly bitter. The taste is bitter with a good sweet trying to balance. Its there for the most part and helps to make this beer to really want to be a sessionable IPA. There’s a slight peach to grapefruit aftertaste and a slight dry to semi-wet finish. On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a pretty good sessionability about it. Carbonation feels like an AIPA and yet still lets the bitterness hit my tongue appropriately as an AIPA. Overall, AIPA or session IPA, I’ll take it. It feels, smells, and tastes great, I’d have this again.

14 oz draft in a nonic. $5 (happy hour).

Dark gold to amber and slightly hazy. Impressively tight, firm head that laced beautifully and lasted longer than the beer.

Surprisingly, not much in the way of citrus in the aroma. With persistence was able to pick up on some unidentified mercaptan and a little cheesey feet, presumably isovaleric acid.

Again, could not get any citrus in the taste. Pronounced bitterness accentuated by a complete lack of malt character. Finishes too bitter to abide, reminiscent of dandelion stalks and pine needles. A touch of cardboard confirmed that this beer was hopelessly stale.

Despite the flaws in smell and taste, the body and carbonation were to style: medium without astringency.

Shame. Confirmed it wasn't just me by treating myself to a Ballast Point Sculpin ($8!) right afterwards. Chalk and cheese.

12 oz bottle. Pours slightly hazy golden orange with a big rocky white head that retains well and and leaves some lacing.

The aroma is sweet bready malt and fruity, floral, resiny hops.

The flavor is sweet bready caramel malt with a lot of citrus fruit and a slightly harsh resiny bitter finish that is a little ashy in the aftertaste. The mouthfeel is medium to full bodied with smooth carbonation.

Overall, a decent fruity IPA that has a harsh bitterness like most of their IPAs I've had.

Faintly cloudy pour, honey-amber color with fluffy head. Pleasant hoppy aroma and a hint of citrus. Tasting is right in the citrus-IPA wheelhouse with a solid IPA as a base and the citrus as an accent and not taking center stage. Great for a warm afternoon on the deck. Nice, clen finish and the ABV is under control.

Very hoppy. Citrus notes. Quick into the hops. Can in Bend.

Burnt orange, but not too brown. Not bright, but clear and lovely in the light. Light tan head of fluff, fine on top, rockier towards the surface of the body. Orange and grapefruit scents, fruit but especially rind, with a grainy/grassy suggestion underneath. Not too fruity of a palate, very pasta/cracker-like at first with a subdued tartness, but letting it seep and soak and then slosh around the back yields strong flavors of rind, grass, and biscuit, a chunk of juicy citrus, and then milder notes of tea and resin, a slight aftertaste of soap and a retro-olfaction of pepper, burnt rubber, as well as more rind. Medium-bodied, dense with fine but softer carbonation, appropriate astringency to match bitterness.
