I recently realized this place was here and decided I needed to get down there and check it out. I came in the door, and right to the left is the beer selection all in coolers. It's definitely not a huge list as the store focuses on wine, but what they do have is definitely solid. The selection at Corral is definitely more extensive, but if you live up here in Edwardsville/Glen Carbon like I do then it's much easier to run down here and grab something in a pinch. They had a nice selection of all micro and import beers ranging from 6 packs to 750's all with fair prices on them. I loved that there wasn't a single macro in the house.

Beyond the beer, they have an awesome wine selection, and fine liquor as well. They also have cheeses which I love to see. Last, they have random alcohol paraphenalia such as riedel glassware, bottle openers, etc etc.

The service was good. An older guy sitting at the counter was there to greet me and wasn't pushy but definitely willing to help. He informed me that they do wine tastings every friday night.

All in all I was really pleased. Like I said, If I want a bigger selection I'd go to Corral, but the main items I want I could get at this place. The only downside is there is no mixing 6ers. They did have a few broken up six packs in the cheese cooler, but for the most part it's a 6pack join.

Interesting little place, in a 70's era strip mall. The sign proclaimed "Wine, Coffee, Cheese" and I was halfway expecting a little cafe, but it was more of a small retail shop.

Beer coolers were up front, a bit too close to the windows and sunlight, so I grabbed bottles from the back. There was a window display with minikegs, though I didn't see any for sale. Found Schlafly's 20th Imperial Pilsner here for 12.99, and the Big Muddy lineup (Pale, Wheat, and Dunkeldog). The thing is, these bombers were 9.99, and I hadn't seen them elsewhere (until later finding them for $5 in Peoria). So they were double what they should be.

Selection was small but quality, Expedition, Chouffe, Ommegang, some New Zealand beer, and a few more. Spirits selection in back was small but quality too, 25 scotches and 25 bourbons. Didn't see any cheese or coffee, but there was plenty of wine.

Cashier seemed to be the owner, and he was friendly enough.
