Went here during a business trip on the evening of 2/17. A couple of tables and bar seats were occupied and it seemed like a quiet dinner crowd, most likely people staying at the hotel nearby. Since we already had dinner we just opted for drinks, so no food rating.

Beers were pretty casual, Fiddlehead IPA which was kicked, two Switchback offerings, and some usual stuff like Sam and Blue Moon. Bottle list was basically same macro stuff except for an DFH bottle listing. Went with the Switchback Dooley's Porter since the Fiddlehead was out and wasn't too disappointed. Beer took a long time to reach the table, the server seemed surprised by the volume of people only ordering drinks.

Overall a decent place for this general area of Brattleboro, but take the extra 5 minutes and go to Whetstone Station if you're looking for some good brews/atmosphere.

Short menu, a d light tap selection. Angus burgers were excellent however. Staff was friendly and attentive. On this Friday night the Tavern had 9 beers on tap, nothing crazy...Switchback, Longtail ale, Fiddle head IPA, a couple Sammys, Blue Moon among them. The tavern was small, fairly quiet, and adjacent to a restaurant. A decent place for a burger and a pint, before visiting McNeill's downtown.

The Taverns beer selection is first rate. The beer on draught is an eclectic affair of Domestic craft beers from the across the Unites States. Keep in mind they only have nine taps, but they are all very solid beers.

On my last visit the draught selection looked like this:

Shock top Belgian White (AB)
Anchor Porter
DFH 60
North Coast Scrimshaw
Ommegang Abbey
Rock Art's Vermonster
Winter Bourbon Cask Ale (AB)
Allagash Black
Stoudt's gold lager

The bottle selection is decent as well. It's a mix of Macro, Micro, craft, and local beers. There is something here that will surely appeal to every beer drinkers palate.

The menu is comprised of mostly tavern/pub grub fare. the chef's add a dash of their creativity to all the dishes. I have enjoyed a few of their offerings on separate occasions and have not been disappointed at all. The mussels are tasty as well as the fish & chips. The salad's are fresh from mostly local greens.

Please note that the place is attached to a motel, and during ski season it can get pretty busy in there with the guests eating in the tavern. You may be stuck sitting in the cushy chairs in the lobby enjoying a pint or two while waiting for a table to open up.
If your traveling through Brattleboro it's worth stopping in.

Returned here for snacks on 5/21. Beer menu still respectable. Changed slightly with the season. They are offering out dining-drinking on a patio with umbrella's and coniferous tree canopies. It's nice.
Enjoyed the mussels...which are very tasty.
