A nice local bar with a good atmosphere for food and sports. I stopped here twice for lunch and once for I thought a dinner but as they served the couple to my left at 9p.m. I was informed, Sorry Kitchens closed. Uhg!!

Anyway, when I did eat for lunch, food was fine and service was promt.

They had twelve taps I saw, I didn't get upstairs. All six Yuengling offerings in one tower kinda cool. The beer was cold, fresh and served in its namesake glass. Note; a beer on tap on special every day, at least week days.

Parking is ok with a small lot accross the street. Worth a stop if your in town with time esp. before or after the brewery tour.

On the corner of North Centre Street & Nichols street in town. Nice looking place on the outside. Named for the NFL Team, the Pottsville Maroons who in 1925 were robbed of the NFL championship by some shifty goings on. The bar has many historical artifacts, photos, and paintings of the event. So I won't spoil the surprise.

Good looking sports bar, long bar, many TV's to root for the Phillies & Eagles. Thjere is an area upstairs as well, as it can get prety crowded. This area is not always open, maybe due to staffing issues.

Craft offerings are very hit and miss though. I'm sure they do most of their business with Yuengling of course, (and the other macros). Then do occasionally put in a small keg with a tap. I've had Neshaminy Creek offerings, and even Nugget Nectar. You might also get there and find no craft at all. So call ahead if you can.

I've always felt that the service here is sub par. Maybe because I'm not a regular, or spend my first few minutes peering at the taps, but I get the feeling I'm viewed with suspicion. Friends who come here often report the service as okay.

Food's pretty good though, and well priced. If you want to watch a game and grab a couple brews with your friends, this might be your best option in town.

UPDATE: Currently closed. Apparently they are changing ownership, so may reopen at some point.
