I was very excited to see this beer for sale at Homeland Grocery in OKC. A locally brewed craft brew that is 3 point (ABW)!

Now to the tasting...

Pours a hazy medium brown liquid with a short tan head.

Excellent malty aroma.

Flavor is very malt heavy. Fairly sweet with a little bit toastiness on the edges. Good bit of brown sugar and caramel. Low hops but this is appropriate for the style.

This is an excellent beer for its style and niche - a sessionable American Brown Ale. It does not compare with my favorite Brown Ales (i.e. Real Ale's Brewhouse Brown, Brooklyn Brown Ale, or Samuel Smith Nut Brown Ale) but given the limitations of doing an Oklahoma 3-point (3.2% ABW or 4.0% ABV), I'm impressed. Please note my scoring is based on these limitations (a good .5 bump on the flavor scale for sure).

Pours a chocolate brown color with a minimal head that doesn't leave lacing. Nose of roasted malt, caramel, and chocolate. Taste is roasted malt, brown sugar, caramel, and a slight nuttiness. Medium-full body and medium carbonation.
A little heavy for a brown ale, and it borrows it's sweeter profile from the english variety. A solid craft offering at a sporting arena.

Pours to a thick creamy beige head that lasts and laces. Hazy brown color. Aroma is subtle roasted malts, Munich malt, brown sugar and chocolate. Flavor is smooth and balanced with mostly caramel and chocolate and just enough hops to keep it in check. Mouthfeel is big and creamy for its gravity, almost like a nitrogen-dispensed beer. Overall an extreme positive outlier in the "low point" beer market in Oklahoma and a perfect introduction to full flavored session brews to macro drinkers in OK who buy grocery store beer. Regardless, this is an outstanding brown ale in general.

Great full flavored lower gravity ale for us folks in oklahoma! Pours dark brown, head fades quick with slight lacing. Smells of sweet malt, very inviting. Taste is smooth with caramel or molasses sweetness and slight roast. Very simple, but enjoyable. Perfect as a go to beer.

This is an average brown ale. There is nothing great or bad about it. This is a beer to introduce a friend to the style. Have a great day my friends.

A super session brown. Russet brown, creamy khaki head that persists. Typical brown ale flavors - caramel, toasted malt, molasses, mild fruitiness. Balance leans towards sweet but there’s some faint herbal hop bitterness balancing things out. No hint of watery-ness or thinness, plenty full for the style and abv. Good stuff if you like brown ales and sessionable beers as I do.

For an easily acquired--and reasonably priced--product this is a good choice. Of all the brews from Coop that I've tried so far this one is definitely my favorite.

Nice refreshing brown beer. Not very heavy, so it is easy to have more than one or two.

Nice little brown ale. Beautiful dark color. Light tan foamy head. Very subtle smell: balanced malt, hops, and maybe some yeast. Not a big flavor, but perfectly balanced. Very, very drinkable.
