Thanks to ThirstyHerf for this!

Pours a nice dark auburn color, with a very creamy off-yellow colored head. Left fantastic lacing.

Plenty of caramel and toffee on the nose, along with a smidge of nuttiness and a hint of grassy hops.

Wow, this is a very flavorful beer. Plenty of sweet, caramel malts, some toffee, maybe even a hint of chocolate. Plenty of grassy, floral hop notes cut the sweetness wonderfully, leaving a very balanced and drinkable amber.

Nice creamy texture, medium bodied with good carbonation.

Amber Ales can be a boring style in the wrong hands, but this is a shining example. It's not a hop bomb, and it's not overly malty. It's wonderfully balance, great tasking and a super sessionable amber. Thanks Chris!

Deep Amber with nice head retention and lacing. Smells pine and a sweet note I can't quite put my finger on. Some kind of stone fruit maybe? Taste is perfectly balanced though the flavored are very assertive. Hop bitterness is pine and the malt is biscuit and slightly sweet fruit. The only knock id have on this is the ABV is a bit high for sessioning, but the flavor leaves you wanting more. This could get you into trouble!

Wow, I'm amazed. Had a horrible experience so far in OKC with beer the I sit down to try another and I get this one, out of desperation no less. I wonder into o'connels where the selection is what you'd expect for a college/irish pub, not seeing anything that jumps out at me I start a convo with the bartender asking for oklahoma jewels, the suggests this one. Severed in a red plastic cup with a light brown head flowing heatily over the rim, I smell hops, malts, fruity yeast. Color isn't easily picked out but its looking a dark amber. Wow,the taste really wins me over. After a night of aweful 3.2 brewpub swill I'm amazed that this is here. Great sweet malts shine through with a smooth hop bittering finish. Very soomth and easy to drink. Two thumbs up for coop!

This beer used to be my favorite, however for about the past 6 months every can I have had has been extremely under carbonated and not nearly as hoppy as it used to be. I have spoken to a few of my fellow bar patrons and they felt the same way. I know that COOP changed facilities recently, and maybe that is the reason why. But what ever it is, it ruined a once great beer.

Excellent balance of malts and hops; substantive ale without overpowering.

Drunk on numerous occasions, and it's been fairly consistent thus.
Look:Great, smooth, smallish head that doesn't stick around, but still leaves wonderful laces as it leaves. Wonderful red-amber that is absolutely perfect to style, slightly cloudy, but not as much as their IPA
Smell: Sweet graininess and somewhat floral and sour hops. Not bad.
Taste:Just as the label describes. Caramel is the most obvious, and lingers in the back. Bready, biscuity malt, and some fairly aggressive hops especially for the style. Blue cheese is in there, and I'm guessing that comes from the hops as well.
Feel: medium bodied ale. Smooth finish, and very drinkable for the abv. Although I said it's consistent, it's a little less carbonated than I'd like.
Overall: Local brew that is decent.

Poured from 16 oz can. Beautiful dark amber, brownish color, with edges tinted towards Orange. Big pillow of off-white to tan head. Great smell, sweet malts, caramel. Taste is caramel malt and biscuit. I didn't get as much of the hops as others, but I didn't miss them. Very Nice.

Beautifully made and different beer. Complex and delicious.

Lovely brown/orange hue is a cross between a British brown and a nice Americanized Oktoberfest. Lacey head with some color to it. The smell is absolutely perfect, balanced with the malt of a British brown and the hops (albeit less extreme) of a west coast IPA. The flavor is again, perfectly balanced. The hops are similar to, but much less overpowering, than a good IPA. I can't believe a beer this complex and unique came out of OKC.

A bit cloudy and no real aroma. But has a good flavor and it's easy to drink.

A: Beer pours a murky dark red body with a creamy white head. Nice amount of head retention and lacing left behind while drinking the beer.

S: Hop aromas are very upfront here. The beer has a strong pine like nose. The beer's malt build leans more towards biscuit aromas and caramel notes.

T: Beer has a solid amount of pine like flavors along with some sweet malt pieces. The hops give a dank evergreen taste, and the malt profile leads to sweeter flavors.

M: Solid feel for the beer. Lacks much spice that other ambers have. Beer, however, has a stronger sweet flavor than most of the style.

O: Nice hoppy amber. Wish the beer had a stronger spice presence, but a very nice amber regardless.

Love this beer. Has always been one of my favorites

Look: Great caramel color.
Smell: Smells mainly of malt with a hint of pine.
Taste: Definitely agree with the label. Great taste of both caramel and biscuit. Has a mild hop flavor indicative of what I would imagine a "Red IPA" to taste like.
Feel: Very smooth beer for being 6.5% ABV. I would describe it as having a medium body. Not heavily carbonated, but sufficient.
Overall: This is one of my favorite beers. Never had any other beer labeled "Red IPA", but I think this beer fits the label pretty well. Definitely has the malt characteristics of a red ale, but also has a slight hoppiness that you wouldn't expect in a typical red ale. Overall, I would rate this as a very great beer.
