Native Amber is an audacious blend of hops and malt. Caramel and biscuit notes carry the Cascade and Cluster hop additions through to an enjoyably round finish. The malt complexity proves rich and the dry-hopped character is invigorating.

What happened to those pint cans?
This mamajama is ale in all it's local glory. (Not the ingredients, but the vibe). No bitter from Oklahoma existed before it....far as I know.

$5 on-draught at the Painted Horse, Bartlesville, Oklahoma.
Hop profile is floral with hints of marmalade and herb. Malt backbone is slightly bready and toasty. Amber malt is evident.
A bit dry on the palate but still refreshing.
I don't know that this is a top tier red IPA, but it's certainly drinkable and enjoyable even if the hop profile lacks sufficient punch.

Reddish copper pour with nice lacing.
Nose is fruity, almost tropical with a dank, bready finish.
Taste is similar. Hop forward then the malt delivers balance. There is backbone and complexity.
This is good. I love a hoppy amber beer and this is a lovely example.

Another monday morning casino beer.
Poured into a glass from the can. A deep brownish amber color, clear, one finger head and whispy lace.
Aroma is great. Lovely hops smells and taste, ahhh cascade, gotta love 'em.
The feel is thick and bold, a bit more like a stronger, heavier IPA, but retaining some amber character.
Overall I'm rating it as I am because i like it.

This beer is good. Was a little disappointed by the overall taste. It was more like and ale.

In fall 2016, I bought a pack of 12 ounce cans. I'm just now transcribing my notes in this review. It proved to be a very good amber that really grew on me. It had decent hop, though the malts are apparent too. In any case, I wish COOP beers were more widely distributed. I buy them when I visit family in Tulsa.

Gorgeous red brown, small but fluffy head with lacing that lasts;smells of caramel and bread, sweet malt and a slight hop bite. Light feel, overall very good.

A: Beer pours a murky dark red body with a creamy white head. Nice amount of head retention and lacing left behind while drinking the beer.
S: Hop aromas are very upfront here. The beer has a strong pine like nose. The beer's malt build leans more towards biscuit aromas and caramel notes.
T: Beer has a solid amount of pine like flavors along with some sweet malt pieces. The hops give a dank evergreen taste, and the malt profile leads to sweeter flavors.
M: Solid feel for the beer. Lacks much spice that other ambers have. Beer, however, has a stronger sweet flavor than most of the style.
O: Nice hoppy amber. Wish the beer had a stronger spice presence, but a very nice amber regardless.

Love this beer. Has always been one of my favorites
Look: Great caramel color.
Smell: Smells mainly of malt with a hint of pine.
Taste: Definitely agree with the label. Great taste of both caramel and biscuit. Has a mild hop flavor indicative of what I would imagine a "Red IPA" to taste like.
Feel: Very smooth beer for being 6.5% ABV. I would describe it as having a medium body. Not heavily carbonated, but sufficient.
Overall: This is one of my favorite beers. Never had any other beer labeled "Red IPA", but I think this beer fits the label pretty well. Definitely has the malt characteristics of a red ale, but also has a slight hoppiness that you wouldn't expect in a typical red ale. Overall, I would rate this as a very great beer.
