Nice amber color and slight head. The aroma is mild, but with a pleasant malt note. At first sip, I was quite disappointed. This was nothing like the other blondes I've had and liked. The flavor pallett is very subdued. Carbination is the most memorable trait. Their is a hint of malt and a touch of bitter hop as a back note, but overall a very thin flavor, kind of like a weak pilsner. Nothing offensive to this brew and it is very drinkable. There just doesn't seem to be much to come back for

Slight malty and sweet front that falls into a crispness. low bitterness, very easy to drink beer.

Taste Rating in Words: It's boiling water, anyone can get it down to an art, few do, and yet some still mess it up.

In honor of national beer day I'm rating a couple from my home state of Oklahoma. This beer pours a hazy golden color with a small thin white head. Nice crisp beer smell and smooth taste just not a lot of flavor. Mouth feel is a little watery but easy to swallow. Easily a session beer.

A: Very pale gold with an airy head of foam that quickly fades away.
S: Sweet malt aroma, no hint of hops.
T: Fairly sweet malt taste, clean, without graininess. Very low bitterness.
M: Light bodied, soft texture.
O: About as inoffensive a beer as you can get. A true insult to the horny toad, which is a lizard of character.

First had Horny Toad at Hideaway Pizza, Norman, Okla., poured from pint can into tumbler. This pro forma introductory Blonde is even brewed with lager malt and hops.

Pours a clear yellow golden color with white head. Cereal grains and hay on the nose; follows onto the palate. Light bodied. Finishes with cereal grains.

Poured from a 16 oz. can. Has a deep golden color with a 1/2 inch head. Smell is mild, malty. Taste is also mild, bready malts, light, floral hops, refreshing. Feels medium bodied in the mouth and overall not a bad beer, but seems to be lacking any punch.
