Crisp and clean, Horny Toad is a premium blonde ale with a hint of Noble hop bitterness to balance the two-row and pilsner malt body. This refreshing libation is a great introduction to craft beer and COOP Ale Works.

Serving notes - had this at McNellie's in Tulsa, shaker glass, just cool of room temp.
A - sweet and grainy
A - finger of head that dissipates to a persistent film, crystal clear yellow/straw.
M - thin body, low carbonation.
T - sharp grainy taste with grassy hops. Nice maltiness comes through as the beer warms. Some hop bitterness on the back of the tongue.
D - Very decent beer, but not one that I would consider a session beer.

Had this beer at a local restaurant in Stillwater, Oklahoma and I was somewhat perplexed by this beer. The bartender told me it was a cerzesa but it poured a dark. clear amber color. This is a beer that doesn't require nor warrant a lime or salt. When you first drink this beer it tastes like a salty Dos Equies but as it warms it takes on a very salty taste that is very unique for this kind of beer. All in all, it's a good beer but it's not like anything you would expect for a "mexican" style beer
