12 ounce pour into a pint glass.
Appearance: As black as my soul. There was a nice, tan head, but it went away as soon as I started drinking it. All that remains is a thin ring around the border.
Smell: Faint chocolate and coffee aromas. A bit of roasted malt to back it up. Sweet and charcoal-y.
Taste: Very clean and smooth porter. There’s a deep roasted character, but it’s not overwhelming. It’s dry and fades slowly. A bittersweet chocolate flavor emerges as it warms.
Mouthfeel: Silky smooth.
Overall: I like it. Modest at 6% ABV, and drinkable all day. Perfect for the cold weather that seems to be blowing in.

Pours a deep brown with a thin cream colored head. Small sticky lacing. The little aroma is pleasant with hints of coffee. The taste is predominately roasted malt with a little earthy hops to balance. The body is a nice weight for the style with a little carbonation on he finish.

An incredibly good porter, while not overly complex on the palate, it is smooth, tasty, and easy to drink. Personally, this was my favorite of the Coop Ale Works' lineup that I tried during my time in Oklahoma.

On tap at Mcnellie's in T-town before the Sonic Youth show. From notes.

Pure black with a quickly fading pure black head that leaves some broken stripes behind. Smells of subtle roasted nuts and malts. Tastes sweet and malty with a nice hop hit in the end. Faint chocolates and notes of black licorice also exist. Medium bodied and well balanced brew from some local favorites.

Had this at mcNellies, Tulsa

Poured ebony/black with a pinky of tan head, dropped away quickly. Some lacing & head retention

S: Charred grain & cocoa, faded a bit as it warmed

T: Chocolate with hints of chicory up front, plus some herbal hops. A nice mixture of baker's choclate, roasted malt & dryness as this warmed. Finished dry & semi-sweet

MF: Very smooth with medium body

Drank very easy indeed, will happily drink this again, given the chance

Dark chocolate brown with no head or retention, but leaves lace as it's consumed; 100% opaque.

Smells of cocoa, milk, lactose, some blanched nuts, roast malt, a faint bit of coffee in there too.

It's got this nutty chocolate roastiness to it that's undeniably delectable. A surprising pacific style hop punch with orangey citrus surfaces to dirty things up, but it's not overwhelming. A carbonated buzz and semi dry parch wrap up this profile nicely.

Overall Gran Sport is a fine porter that I'd have again. Generally most places sell a four pack for around $9 and that's par for this beer. I'd love to try a nitro version if they ever get around to it.

Poured into a pint glass. Dark as can be brown with reddish head that dissolves slowy and leaves lacing. Smells of roasted malt and bitter cocoa. The roasted malt hits immediately with a balanced amount of chocolate on the finish. No bitter after taste or noticeable alcohol taste. Medium body with light carbonation. Good porter that is great in coldish weather and still good even when it isn't cold.

Poured into a shaker pint glass.

Look: The darkest brown without being black. Cream colored head. Really nice lacing.

Aroma: Roasted malts, charred grains, faint chocolate.

Taste: An immediate chalky cocoa note, but otherwise good roasted malt character. There's definitely a flaked oats component that probably adds to that chalky cocoa note.

Mouthfeel: Slightly thin.

Overall: This is pretty spot-on for the style. Very easy to drink.
