Don’t let appearance fool you. This place is totally legit! It’s a small shop, with a bar amidst the narrow isles and shelves with regulars standing around talking as they enjoy a cold one. They know their beer too, (regulars and staff both getting in on the action). The two guys I have seen look like farmers playing hooky for the afternoon. What lacks in volume is more than made up for in depth of variety, styles, brewers, and a decent selection of aged beers. And the aged beers are deserving too! I see none of the mundane standard bearers. They even have cold storage (public access and private access). Definitely on the hit list when nearby or even as a detour enroute to another destination.

The best bottle shop in auburn in my opinion. Lots of beer by the single, 4 pack, 6 pack, 30 pack etc. Had some nice vintage beers too, being 6 or 7 years old. Decent prices and lots of beer. Win win!

So these guys are the truth. Over past weekend while passing through to visit family I picked up a box full of beer! Ghandi bot! Double DBa! Imperial stout trooper! Bourbon county 2012! These guys know their beer. Always great beers on the shelves from what I can tell and like 8 beers on tap to fill growlers. I feel like no one knows about this place and I need to spreaD the word. Also a seller you can talk bs and beer with?

Sign me up.

This is the kind of place that you want to check out. Perfect!

I seriouslt couldnt believe my eyes when I walked in and saw a 4 pack of BCBS staring me in the face. Walked out after dropping a Benji...but got some Maine Beer Co, tons of Jacks Abby, Capt. Lawrence, an Oatmeal Yeti, the 2013 He'Brew/Terrapin co-lab just to name a few. When you get there, you are probably sure your GPS screwed up some how....but they have a small bar and small growler fill to delight everyone! A must stop!

Wow, a little unassuming place with a large selection of brews. I will be checking this place out often. Bottles, cases, packs, growlers, they have it all. They turn over their draft brews often. The prices are reasonable and there is plenty to chose from. Can't wait to get there again!

I stopped into this place on my way through Auburn last weekend and WOW! was I glad I did. I live in Syracuse, so Auburn is usually off the beaten path, but selection-wise, this has a lot of places in Syracuse beat. Great Rogue selection (including non-run of the mill stuff like Voodoo Doughnut), Jolly Pumpkin, lots of Mikeller (I thought I had to go to Ithaca to find that!), North Coast specialties (Grand Cru), plus some great growler fills. They had Deviant Dale's on, among others. I could have gone crazy in there but I limited myself to just 4 bombers. Long story short, it's unassuming from the outside but what they lack in shelf space, they more than make up for in selection! Definitely stop by if you're in the area, especially if you're from CNY and are looking for something besides the usual selection.

I stumbled onto this place when getting gas for my car. Although it doesn't look like much from the outside, I don't go here for the ambience. Friendly and knowledgeable service along with a very good selection of brews. They also have a constantly rotating selection of beers on tap to fill your growler with, many of which are hard to find (and if you fill your growler 8 times, you get one free).

If you are in CNY, this is a much better place to go than Wegmans for beer. Good American Crafts along with Belgians (e.g., Rochefort, Westmalle) can be found here. Probably my favorite beer store in CNY. They even told me they would order kegs for me.

The only thing that I wish they could do different is allow you to sample a beer on tap before you fill your growler. However, I imagine this would require a special permit.

Auburn's only store for better beer. I thank the lords of brew everyday for this small oasis. Even Wegmans has depleted their inventory over the last year because people aren't buying the craft beers from them as much anymore. Selection is quite amazing for the size of their store. Stone, DFH, Avery, Middle Ages, Bear Republic, Heavy Seas, Rouge, Smuttynose, Troegs, Allagash, Rochfort, Chimay, Flying Dog, Lake Placid, Brooklyn, Green Flash, Wachusettes, Southern Tier, Two Brothers, Butternuts, Abita, Samuel Smith, Arcadia, are some of the breweries on hand.

The post below really is accurate so I do not need to say much else. I also agree that I would like to see them sell singles and fill growlers with beer they don't have in bottles.

First, let me start by saying I LOVE THIS PLACE. It's about 1.5 miles from my house and is the first place in the Auburn area to venture into craft beer. Good selection with lots of 22oz and 750ml offerings, recently added 4-5 taps for growler fills. First in market to offer; Stone, Troegs, DFH, Two Brothers, various Southern Tier, Lagunitas, Green Flash, etc. It's the ONLY place to go within 20 miles for good beer. And, I rarely, if ever, come across old beer.

Outside of the brothers (John and Lou) the other staffers are out of their collective element. That said, I know what I'm doing and don't need much help.

I look forward to seeing them expand the list of breweries and packages available, offering single bottle purchases (for 12 oz. bottles, like Party Source or Beers of the World does) and delivering beers on tap that they don't carry (already) in a sixer. Mostly, I look forward to them being succesful and thank them for taking this chance in Little Old Auburn.
