On tap at Urban Heights in Bethesda, poured into an "Antigoon" tulip glass. Hazy, orange-golden color with big frothy head. Aroma is light banana, cloves, and a bit of grass. Taste is bittersweet, pretty heavy malt but nice. Mouthfeel is slightly more bitter than I expected, but overall it's a solid Belgian brew.

Had a funky smell and taste to it, but this is the first Belgian Pale Ale I've had from Belgium. Was still good, just... Different.

This beer tasting like drinking liquid malt extract from a can. It was thickwritten and sweeter than a typical belgian ale and combined with the spicy phenols did not have good results for me.

Bready and slight floral notes on the nose. Lots of biscuit up front. Pear, banana, bubbegum esters in the middle. Mildly sweet along with a citric 'zing' on the finish. 'Refuse the toll, pay the penance.' Wonderful Belgian pale.

Look: Golden / Tan quite murky, the good kind of murky. A perfect 2-3 fingers of head poured into a snifter. Lacing all over the glass.

Smell: Apple, pear, Belgian candy, caramel

Taste: A juicy apple/pear explosion. Mind-blowingly, fantastically juicy. Wow, wow, wow. One of the best beers I've ever tasted.

Feel: crisp, light body

Overall: One of the best beers ever made, period.

Lighter yellow and cloudy with 1/4 inch of head and some lacing.
Smell is fruity, sweet, yeasty, and funky.
Taste is citrus, yeast, minor hops, and some funk and spice.
Mouthful is medium with medium-high carbonation.
Overall a good beer that is worth a try.

Bought at my local drinks shop, which over the last few years has a great selection of beers on offer. A lot of Belgians as well.
And these Belgians have it well together.
This one is a slight orange golden beer, beige head, cloudy with a good amount of bubbles.
Smell of some grassy hops, clear citrus.
Taste is pretty full on bittersweet. Malty sweet but it doesn't skip on bitterness. Biscuit and forest berries.
Long lingering aftertaste.
Pretty good beer.

Gusher, and very old. A newer one may warrant a revisit for scoring.

A: Cloudy, swirling haze of rustic orange colored body has a dense showering of effervesce. Generous 3 inch tannish-ivory colored head is frumpy on the surface with a very good retention. Heavy sponge bands of lacing.

S: Bit of sour fruit on the nose, buttered bread and honey dew. Sour lemon, custard, with some musky banana yeastiness and citrus.

T: Fruity flavor with hints of sour, musky citrus opens things up. Banana, sweet custard, pear, creamy orange with a spicy warmth of grains of paradise (peppery, woodsy notes). Soft play of alcohol, spicy citronella, dry herbal-rosewood floral hops rounds things out.

M: Spicy mouthful, creamy textured, good carbonation.

O: Overall very solid, musky warmth of alcohol, yeast, hops and spices provide a great complexity and taste that is truly belgian.

Lots of wheat contributes a nice fluffy head, and plenty of bubble gum on the nose and taste. Nice subtle beer.
