We can boldly say that this hoppy red is unlike any other you’ve tried. Hopped-up to the max, deep ruby in color, with a smooth as silk mouthfeel and an almost pungent piney aroma. Malts bone-up their magic with a hearty, biscuity, almost rustic touch of flavor and a slightly bitter fruitiness. A creamy head always tops it off. Bonefide with a gold medal at the GABF.
A full bodied Imperial Red Ale brewed with a massive amount of Pacific Northwest hops that are complemented by caramel malts. Dry hopped and hop-backed with Simcoe hops give this beer it’s pungent piney aroma.

A - Pours a nice, clear, dark amber color with off white creamy foam resting on top and steady moderate carbonation.
S - Nice sweet caramel malt base with resiony citrus over top.
T - Caramel malt up front gets quickly crushed with a wall of hoppiness. Starts with a wave of resiny citrus and ends with an agressive piney resin that scrubs away all malt sweetness.
M - Big medium body with soft prickly carbonation.
O - For a beer that's sitting around (3) months old this packs a big hoppy punch. This is a fantastic Imperial Red.

Caramel malts come thru. Rustic bread notes, piney and some bitterness. Big ABV 9%, 80 IBU. Easy to drink for a big beer. Excellent. Canned on 2/27/23.

12oz canned 02/27/23 (39 days ago) poured into a Spiegelau IPA glass at fridge temp 9% ABV 80 IBU per can. The beer pours mostly bright copper colored amber with sticky, prolific khaki colored head. The head recedes to a thick cap and leaves plenty of lacing. The aroma is strong pine, citrus and caramel malt in that order. The taste is bittersweet caramel malt with big pine, tropical fruit, citrus and a hint of dank. Strong bitterness. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with average carbonation and a mostly dry finish. Not cloying or extra sweet, but definitely sticky from all the hops. Overall, excellent.

Appearance - The beer was a handsome auburn color with a tinted had topping the glass
Smell - the nose was mulched forward with hints of resin and pine to come.
Taste - The taste profile was very much forward. They were hands of pine and resin in the taste. A touch of orange rind was also present. The bitterness lingered to become almost pungent.
Mouthfeel - While the carbonation was present, the body kept a stranglehold on its intensity.
Overall - I was so glad to see this beer distributed and in four packs again. God be praised!

Fat Head’s knocked this one out of the park! If you are a fan of red IPAs, this gem is a must try. Beautiful dark amber color, backed up with a perfect malt backbone and a delicious smack of hops. Finishes bitter, which I love. Outstanding Imperial Red IPA. Glad I bought 2 4-packs.

12oz can served in a snulip. Dated 02/27/23. Received from @blogjackets because he's super nice.
Pours dark nutty brown / red with a medium sized head. Head eventually settles into a thick creamy skin and a maybe three millimeter thick dense creamy ring. Beer is quite clear, with a not-so-subtle carbonation evident at arm's reach. Smell is caramel/toffee, nuts, sweet yeasty/breadiness, grapefruit rind bitterness.
Taste is similar -- sweet caramel and toasted nuts with a blast of grapefruit rind / pine bitterness. Resin sticks to my lips and enhances the green bitter character.
Mouthfeel is thick and resinous, gives a little bit of a cottonmouth response. Overall...this is great, right down my alley when I'm craving an IRA.
