Pours a light orange color with a huge head that fades quickly but leaves considerable lacing. Smell is fruity and hoppy, as is the taste, with banana, lemon, and maybe guava or melon in there too. Really tasty, and my second favorite IPA/APA with fruit added (Lagunitas' blood orange offering is my first). Goes down easy and quite sessionable, although, despite being very hoppy, it also is quite sweet. Not much malt here--this is billed as an APA but is as much of an APA as Zombie Dust.

A very good citrusy American pale ale. On par with lagunitas citrusinensisisisisisisj or whatever the hell they call it. Bright hops and citrus fruits and "lean" malts. Easy drinking. And another good brew from the fat guy.

Gorgeous looking beer. Nice golden and amber appearance. bubbles slowly rice from nowhere. When drank glass gives way to good lacing. Aromas as well as the taste are peach and banana that gives way to apple. The aroma has a slight musty smell but nothing bad. Feel is crisp. Another good hoppy offering from Fat Heads.

You remember the Chiquita banana lady's headpiece of tropical fruit? That's what you're tasting here. On draft a golden straw color without much head. Body is light. Strange they can pack that many flavors into something so light. I would not disparage this brew by calling it a session beer, but I could see having quite a few. Malts, what malts? As light and fluffy as a fro, but way tastier.

Honey golden color. Starts a fluffy white head that drops to a ringed sudsy lacing. Malty mellow smell. Tastes a bit hoppy up front. Very fruity like guava and banana that ends with a hoppy linger. Very mellow and smooth beer. Dense. Like a heavy wheat beer. Good carbonation. Not too interfering. Overall good beer. A bit jeavy for my liking.

Pours a golden orange color with a frothy white head that sticks around for the entire glass. The aroma is tropical fruits and a touch of malty sweetness. The taste follows suit with orange being the dominate note. The sweet, bready malts come through in the middle and the bitterness quickly takes over and lingers for a long time in the finish. Overall, it's an interesting twist on a pale ale, and something I quite enjoyed.

12 FL. OZ. bottle
Served in a pint glass

This beer pours a brilliant amber with golden highlights. It is topped with an inch or two of beige head that leaves a little lacing.

It has a big citrus aroma. Grapefruit seems to be the predominate smell.

There is a big, juicy citrus flavor. Grapefruit once again seems to prevail with a pine finish.

Medium mouthfeel

Another delicious, hoppy pale ale from Fat Head's.

Poured from a bottle into a Goose Island tulip. The pour is hazy gold and sports an impressive, resilient 3 fingers of rocky white foam. The nose is incredible. I can smell oranges the moment I start pouring. A closer whiff reveals grapefruit, pine trees, fresh lavender, and a faint white bread note.

Light body with a firm feel and a fruity hoppy flavor. Light graininess up front, then a barrage of juicy, pithy, oranges, grapefruit, and lemon. The hops carry through the finish, which is dry, citrusy, and leaves you with orange and grapefruit juice lingering behind. The balance on this beer seems a bit off to me and too much in flavor of the hops, but the flavor still rocks. This is one of the more refreshing Pale Ales I've had. It goes great with a big salad.

A - Very surprising carbonation two inches thick from a medium pour. Color is very IPA tinted a bright amber brown haze.
S - Bright floral and citrus hops nothing too crazy but the bottle may be old since the beer is hazy and their is sediment in my bottle bottom.
T - Wow still very sharp and bitter almost acidic hops which quickly mend to a faded breaded body of crystal malts. Lingering bitterness from a pale stands out enough to note.
M - Somewhat crisp very heavy for a pale ale treading the boundaries on an IPA but still not as drinkable as world class offerings.

Overall a fairly bitter and tasty pale ale if your into that sort of thing. Me I crave more balance sometimes.
