Truly exceptional, and one of the finest American IPAs I have tried.

The ale pours a deep orange-amber with a solid, irregular off-white head. The smell is intoxicating. It reminds me of papaya, a bit of citrus, a touch of piney bitterness, some dank notes, and some booze for warmth. The nose is so incredibly inviting. I wish I could bottle the sm... oh wait, I have many bottles of it.

The beer is complex, bitter, with just enough fruity and malty backbone to balance---but no more. The taste unfolds in stages, opening with some citrusy tang, followed by a wave of bitterness, then the papaya and sweet fruit, and ending with a dank and boozy finish.

In two words: near perfect.

Pours translucent orange with slight head with lingering rim and moderate lacing on tap. Smells of bitter hops and tropical fruits, though no clear fruit comes through. Mouthfeel is smooth and crisp. Really good IPA.

Great IPA!!! Had it at B Spot Burgers in Indy -- great restaurant between Chicago and Ohio, BTW! Will definitely try to find this in a store.

On tap:
A nice golden color, maybe slightly to the darker side of it. Head is lasting, medium rim; spots of lacing.

Nose is subdued in this pour, but with a swirl and a deep inhale, I get grapefruit full on with pith in equal amounts. Overall leaning fruity, but generic bitterness keeps that in check.

Taste has a nice malt backbone upon which the hops can play. Not crisp, but clean, providing some body. The nose foretold the taste pretty well, grapefruit citrus and its pithy bitterness run this beer. The malt seems to throw a bit of orange or tangerine zest, maybe a hint of tropical into the mix as an accent.

Nice, mid-school (given current trends) IPA, or old school AIPA (not west coast). Malty enough to not be hop tea, but bitter enough in its citrus nature to not be "juicy." The more I drank, the higher my overall went.

Golden - copper color w/ good lacing throughout. Great smell w/ hints of pine and citrus. Taste and feel are substantial. You know you are drinking an exceptional beer as soon as you first taste. Finish is equally good. Fatheads brewery, North Olmsted, oh
