On tap at Fat Head's.

Pours a light golden color with an ample white head and a bit of lacing as it goes down. So far, so good. After that, this was a fruit beer gone all wrong. The nose wreaked of blueberry syrup, which isn't the worst thing in the world for pancakes, but didn't work at all for this beer. There was a touch of honey and some sweet malt meandering in the background, but the strong, strong, strong blueberry presence was about all I can smell.

The taste went along similar lines with the addition of plenty of sweetness. There was a lot of residual sweetness in this. The combination of blueberry and the sweetness plus honey reminded me a bit of drinking the milk of a blueberry cereal. Fond memories of childhood, but not something I'm looking for in a beer. It was simply far too cloying and, aside from that, very one-dimensional. The feel was just too over the top. I really didn't want to drink that much of this.

Moving to the good things, I will say that there were no obvious brewing flaws with this--it simply is a recipe I really did not care for.

Pours a yellow color with light copper highlights. Just a bit of head by the time it reached the table. Has a ring that leaves spots of lacing. Three blueberry's float on top.

I smell blueberry, and honey, I can still pick out some nice malt notes as well.

Taste like blueberry's, with hints of honey. Its good though...the blueberry flavors are real and do not cloy, and the honey isn't overly done.

Light, and crisp.

Highly drinkable, even my wife who doesn't enjoy beer said this one was good.

On tap at Fat Heads Cleveland.

This beer just won some award naming it the best summer beer in the world. My sweetheart wanted to try this so we split a glass. The pint glass this came to the table with blueberries floating on top. Nice touch, but a tad hokey.

Looks nice when you get past the gimmick. Light gold/copper color with a small head, this beer has good lacing. Proper looking beer.

Smells of blueberry and honey with just a touch of crystal malt. Very expressive considering the ingredients and the fact this isn't an imperial or artifically flavored.

The smells translate well into the taste. This is not too multi-dimensional, but what it focuses on is a success. Honey (not sweet honey but fermented, leaving wildflower notes) dances with blueberries. The malt is crisp and clean, and there's no noticeable bitterness or alcohol.

Nice carbonation and body. It's light and crisp, and the aftertaste is clean and refreshing. This is very drinkable, probably the most drinkable beer I've had in a while. Really nice one here, not something the beer geeks will eat up, but a beer that is deserving of praise for it's light, refreshing nature.

Pours a clean yellow color with a white head. In the aroma, sugary blueberry, almost like blueberry muffins. In the taste, a nice sweet to dry honey and big blueberries at the end. A nice bite and medium bodied mouthfeel, with a semi dry blueberry aftertaste. Like drinking a blueberry muffin. Not per se, my style, but really nice.

Pours a light gold yellow color with a thin head. The aroma is of sweet blueberries and a hint of wheat. The taste is of real blueberries, not an artificial or overly sweet taste. There is a wheat backbone with the blueberries being the main taste. The mouthfeel is crisp and moderately carbonated. Overall this is a very drinkable beer, nothing to dislike about it, it has nice flavor and is an easy drink.

On tap at the brewery a few hours ago. Review from notes. Poured into a clean, clear glass. Notes from the brewery: Thirst quenching ale brewed with tart blueberries and Olmsted Falls honey from Jorgenson's Apiary. This friendly ale will buzz around the delicate beer drinkers without stinging them. Waggledance optional.

A Blueberries floating on top of glass (I am not kidding, they float some blueberries on the top of the beer!) with a nice, creamy head.

S Sweet, light blueberries with the backdrop of an ale.

T Basic light ale with Blueberries. The taste was less sweet than the smell suggested, more like real blueberries.

M Smooth again (like the other Fat Heads that I have tried).

D Really good, one of the best features of this beer.

Notes: This is a gimicky beer targeted for a certain audience but you know, it really works!
