Straightforward but well-done. Good color & clarity. Aroma isn’t impactful either way, but drinks well. Malt is balanced - classic, rich German malts without being chewy or overdone - and doesn’t have the adjunct quality some marzens seem to have.

On tap at the Cleveland location. The menu notes: Imported German malts give this fest bier a deep copper color which is balanced by imported German noble hops.

The beer was light copper colored and clear with about 1 finger's worth of white suds. The aroma was nice, maybe more like a helles lager than a Vienna lager. Hints of biscuit and other mild malt aromas. Appropriately light flavored also, with biscuit and toast and just a little floral hops. Really good when you're in the mood for this style, but probably tough to order this when there are so many great house beers here.

From notes at the brewery:
Imported German Malts give this Fest Bier a deep copper color which is balanced by imported German Noble Hops. This beer is smooth and highly drinkable. Prost!

Poured from tap into a clean, clear glass.

A Light brown/yellow translucent with a nice, big creamy head. 3.5

S Light roast malt, some hops and an interesting but distant sweetness that I did not expect. 4.0

T Fair to good malt and hops balance. Somewhat weak but fair "Fest Bier." 3.0

M On the lighter side compared with other beers in the style. 3.5

D Good, as is part of what is intended for this style. 4.0
