Really enjoyed this limited brew from Fat Heads. They definitely have their IPAs down.
Appearance: Darker than other IPAs that I've experienced. Decent head (16 oz can - plenty to pour)
Smell: Grapefruit and cat pee - good start. Something almost candylike in the aroma - could've been the environment too.
Taste: Similar to Head Hunter but definitely not the same. A bit sweeter perhaps and the nice bitterness sticks around. Definitely a hophead delight.

Fatheads Hop Stalker
Appearance: Pours a dark copper color, frothy white head and spiderweb like lacework
Smell: Cat pee, herbs, citrus and some caramel malt sweetness.
Taste: Mild but assertive hop bitterness with some grapefruit and pine notes. Lots of caramel and roasted, toasted malts taking over. Muted tropical fruit, sweet malts, and piney hop. A bit sticky.
Feel: Full bodied and smooth, well carbonated, mildly hoppy.
Overall: Another solid ipa from fatheads. This one is kind of mild but still pretty nice.

Review from notes. Poured from tap into a clean, clear glass at the brewery in North Olmsted, Ohio.
A Translucent yellow brown body under a minimal head. 3.0
S Unbalanced hops bitterness. Rather typical of the style but not as balanced as the much better Fat Head's Head Hunter which features a much more prominent sweet malt presence. 3.0
T Unbalanced hops bitterness persists into the taste although I do appreciate a touch more sweet malt that I thought that I might based on the smell. Overall it is too unbalanced for my taste. That being said, it is probably right on for the style. 3.0
M Harsh feel of bitterness without much else to comment on. Right on target for the style though. 3.0
D/O Hop heads would really like this but its unbalanced presentation leaves me cold. 2.5

On tap at the brewery. Same name, but citra hop and 7.8% and 87 ibu. So perhaps now a stalker series. Cat pee aroma and flavour from the heavy citra, and not my style. Still passable for what it is. Served with good carbonation and at right temperature. Not very drinkable. Fresh and lacey.
