Pours jet black with a tan head. In the aroma, a mellow chocolate roast, quite faint. In the taste, chocolate up front, a bit dry and roasty. A smooth and medium bodied mouthfeel, with a dry small chocolate roast in the aftertaste. A nice sweet to dry chocolate, a bit rich, but nice.

A snifter at the brewpub.

A: The stout is black. A thin, tan-colored off-white head sits atop it.

S: The nose has rich Belgian chocolate, ample roasted grains, and plenty of boozy heat. Sweeter cocoa powder and coffee add additional depth.

T: The body is thick, really confusing when paired alongside Koko Nuts. Rich chocolate, sweet coffee and dark malts come together with sweet and bitter flavors mixing together. Booze stands out here more than in the other imperial stouts, a vinous quality that enhances the ale. A mouthfull, but a good mouthfull.

M: The stout body is bold but the chocolate ends up stealing the show. Careful though. At 10%+, it's a big drink.

Enjoyed this brew at Fat Head's in North Olmstead, OH out of a 12 oz snifter glass.

"33 Pounds of Belgian chocolate and roasted malts collide in this crazy concoction at over 10%,dangerously smooth!"

A: Pours a pitch black with a one-finger tan head that quickly dissipates leaving nice trail down the glass leaving a wispy lace.

S: Strong chocolatey malt aroma with hints of coffee and cocoa powder.

T: Very sweet and chocolatey right off the bat, but mellow out with the malt and finishes with a sweet-coffee cocoa powder flavor.

M: HEAVY body and medium carbonation

D: Very smooth beer and goes down easy - but just a sipper @ over 10% abv. This one sort of kicked my butt - I was sober one minute and half in the baq next - good work!
