32 oz growler purchased at Trenton Road Take Out in Levittown, PA.
Poured into a shaker pint.

Appearance
Blonde with a short white head. Excellent clarity with light carbonation.

Nose
Candied orange, papaya, candy sugar, honey, and grapefruit.

Taste
Candied orange, grapefruit zest, and papaya. Light honey and candy sugar maltiness. Finishes with some light pine and dankness.

Mouthfeel
Light bodied, crisp, clean, and refreshing with a light bitterness.

Overall
Big flavor, low abv. One of the better session IPAs that I've had. Comparable to Daisy Cutter Pale Ale.

I like higher alcohol content. With that in mind, I like this better than 'Lil Heaven. It is smoother with less bitter taste. So, this is drinkable and will be chosen over, like, Sierra Nevada, or Sam Adams IPA, or other shit beer.

This is decent session action, but it leaves me a little sober.

Consumed 12/18/15

A: Golden light orange with some light copper - pours nicely clear - medium sized white head, fades to a few wisps, maintains a medium collar, leaves streaks and spots of lacing

S: Bright hops with some crisp citrus - tangerine, orange, and grapefruit zest - floral, decidedly flowery citrus - light touch of pine - some hints of stone fruit and tropical fruits - light, pale malts at the base

T: Nicely hoppy and nicely light - orange and tangerine - mostly citrus zest, but some citrus juice and oil as well - light pine, grass, and herbal notes - faintly tropical, like an aftertaste of fruit juice - crisp, dry bitterness - light pale malts and just a touch of caramel malts, minimal sweetness

M: Medium to light body, mostly crisp and clean, some lingering hoppy oils, very refreshing otherwise

O: Freak out in a Sunshine Daydream (oh yeah)

If I had to summarize this in one sentence, I would say that this tastes like a mild version of Fat Head's Hop Hunter. The citrus and oily citrus elements are similar enough. Anyway, this is a great session IPA. I've been spoiled by some others coming out of New England, but if I'm ever in Ohio again, I would grab another 6 pack of this.

poured out of a 12 bottle into one of my pint glasses, this beer pours a clear, medium golden color with lots of streams of little bubbles continuously rising to the beer's surface. The creamy, fluffy looking white head is about an inch thick when first poured that settles to a very fluffy, thick surface coating with quite excellent lacing indeed. Aromas of citrus, lemony, zesty, slightly grainy hops and a bit of malts here too. Flavors of citrus, lemony, floral, zesty, grainy hops upfront with hints of peach and pineapple that gives way to some crispy malts with nice hints of caramel sweetness. Strong bitterness here for sure for a session IPA. Has a crisp, yet smooth and frothy, medium bodied mouthfeel with moderate carbonation and a clean finish and slightly dry after taste. A good session IPA here all around. Certainly worth a try.

Sunshine, daydream, now come on over daydream. Great name for a beer. Had this on tap at the brew pub in Portland.

Nice creamy head fades at a med pace, nice foamy lacing, clear honey orange color.

Nose fresh hops, citrus tropical notes, passion fruit dankness, little grassy note, fruity generic hops, just a touch of malt.

Taste brings fruity hops, generic tropical citrus, fruity, creamy wheat-ish malt, little bitter rind and mango skin, juicy, mild pale malt, toasty, hint grassy hop. Finish dry crisp fair bitterness, mild juicy citrus fruit and tropical notes, little fruity stone fruit peachy thing, mild spicy hop note.

Mouth med bod, decent carb.

Overall pretty nice. Very tasty IPA with a great name.

Smell is piney, grapefruit, orange peel, lemon/lime. Taste is grapefruit peel, orange, lemon zest, mango, papaya, lots of tropical notes. Clean tropical IPA, not dank. Mouthfeel is light, beer is real bitter for a session ipa, aftertaste is grapefruit/citrus peel. Overall this is a great session IPA that I'd totally buy on a regular basis if I had the opportunity. Not distributed in MO, unfortunately.

Bottled 8/24/2015 drank 9/30/2015.

Bottle poured into a BarrelHouse Brewing Co pint glass

A: Pours golden amber with a frothy off white head that settles to a nice layer and laces very well.

S: Bright citrus, tangerine, lemon lime, pink grapefruit, fruity peach, pineapple, a little pine, and a touch of light caramel malt sweetness.

T: Citrus, grapefruit, lemon lime, tangerine, fruity notes, pineapple, peach, almost pear, watermelon jolly rancher, pine, and light caramel malt sweetness.

M: Light to medium body, moderate carbonation.

O: About as good as session IPAs get.

L: Orange, small one inch white head.

S: Most distinct pineapple I've ever smelled in an IPA. Followed by mango and a whole bouquet of fruit medley. Really aced the smell.

T: Less pineapple, more mango on the palate. Big hit of fruit cocktail, then it's a surprisingly herbal hop it in the finish. Finish is delightfully bitter. A really stellar combo between the smell coming in for a sip, more fruit, slight malt, then that distinctly IPA finish.

F: Pretty heavily carbonated. A little lighter than I wanted, but hey it's kind of a session (4.9%).

O: I would drink this all day. So fruity yet so hoppy in the finish. The smell takes the cake for me. I'd love to see a DIPA with a thicker, stickier mouthfeel with this kind of scent. Got this in a mix 'n match, wish I had 5 more.

Well, score another point for Fat Head's. Here goes:

A: Beautiful. Pours a clear yellow-orange. The effervescence is superb as well, and the head and lacing are marvelous. Great.

S: Lots of grass, citrus, herbs, and mango (tropical fruit). The mango lingers in the background after the grass and lemon give way.

T: Follows the nose. Maybe a little light, but the hops still shine forth. Can taste plenty of herbs; the mango is still prominent as well. On a side note, I do detect some grainy malt in the aftertaste.

F: Little watery, but the effervescence is still superb.

O: Great session ale.

12 oz bottle

Pours a nice shimmery hue of lighter amber, light, loose and fine bubble cap, leaves ample fine strands and bits of lacing. Nice looking brew.

Lite sniff of pine and spicy hops with back malt note.

Super tasty lighter IPA.....fresh and flavorful...loaded with big citric notes, grapefruit, spicy and crisp hops...very enjoyable stuff several times in bottles and on draft at the mothership in Pittsburgh...fine stuff, please distribute to NY state...whaddya say?

Typical golden amber brass look. Some light head. Citrussy hop smell is there. Tasty. Actually can perceive the different aspects spoken about on the bottle. Which is sometimes not the case. Really dont like the feel: its great up front and on the pallet but has a poor lingering property. Overall would buy again. Hopefully get to try draft next time.

A clear golden color with a big white head which takes a while to settle. A big fruity aroma with noticeable lemon, grapefruit, and a little pineapple. The taste is similar with a big hoppy flavor and just a little bitterness at the beginning that fades quickly to a clean finish. Very little malt body or sweetness. Very nice for a session ale.

Got one bottle as an extra acquired from a trade. Nice bright orange with white head. Incredible aroma on this. Tropical smells. Wow!!! The taste is amazing. Drinks like a DIPA. Exactly like it smells. The best I had for this style. Could knock down a whole pack.

Poured from a 12 oz bottle into a Cuvee glass.
Tons of carbonation in this, really had to wait this one out so I could get all of it in the glass! Body is a crystal clear light golden; the head is a range of tiny tight little bubbles to larger bubbles that leaves little islands of lacing in the glass.
Smells of citrus: lemon, grapefruit and a little bit of tropical fruits too; pineapple and faintly mango.
Tastes pretty much like it smells! Plenty of that lemon and citrus, but is well rounded out with a sweetness of those malts on the end.
Although there was a ton of carbonation showing up on the pour there isn't a lot when you drink it; there's a lot of that hoppiness on the tongue and a nice dry finish.
Overall this is a very well done Session Ale! I don't typically go for this style, because it always seems to be all promise and no reward, however this is a well crafted session beer! From the aroma to the taste and the finish! Plus all under %5 abv. Can't go wrong with this one, pick it up if you find it!

The best session ipa of all time. Most breweries' session ipas are just waterd down ipas. This one tastes like a solid ipa with just a low abv. Perfect session. Full of flavors, aromatic tropical fruits in the nose, light amber with a nice head. Easy to drink, extremely juicy and piney. Nice resin mouthfeel.

Nicely done session IPA. Bright fruity citrus nose and very refreshing. Definitely has an above average hop profile for this style. But of course it does- It's Fat Heads!

L- clear pale yellow
S- big strong hop profile
T- matches the smell, nice blend of alpha hops
F- crisp bitterness, clean hop taste, no malty after taste.
O- another great Fat Head's IPA, even though it's a session ale.

A: Nice light orange color, a finger of head. Laced the glass really nicely.
S: Pine, tropical fruit, little bit of herbal aromas, bready malts
T: Followed the nose really well, little bit of bitterness of upfront followed by tropical fruits and a nice sweet finish
M: Light mouthfeel, but not watery. Enough carbonation for a slight bite. Finishes up dry.
O: Great session IPA. Lighter on the IPA spectrum but still extremely flavorful and tasty. Could definitely crush a few of these.

Clear golden ale, topped by a modest white head. Good retention and tons of lacing.

Bright, juicy aroma with a touch of dank herbs; Citra immediately comes to mind. A touch of floral, wildflower honey as it opens up.

Big bright juicy hop flavors up front, with a strong dank profile for the second half. Malts make a very light, grainy appearance.

Lively but watery feel, typical of "session" IPAs.

As far as low ABV IPAs go, this is pretty good. The hops are definitely showcased. I much prefer a beer with far more heft and more malt balance, personally.

Poured from a 12 oz. bottle: bright and brassy, clear golden color with a quickly receding white-head. A hard to read date was stamped on the glass of bottle.

The aroma was very pungent, bittersweet tropical fruit with a hint of pine.

This is another excellent session IPA, perhaps the best, as far as the overall balance of flavors. The flavor begins with a sharp, but smooth citrusy bitterness that lingers on the palate before dissipating, leaving a nice malt on the tongue. Not hugely complex, this is an ideal hot weather ale that remains interesting sip after sip.

Another great Ohio offering.

Poured from draught into a pint glass. Head faded quick but left nice lacing and a thin film. Noticeable hops Maybe a bit much for a session IPA but not real overpowering on the back end. Smell was of some floral notes but not overpowering.
A very nice and drinkable IPA at only about 4.6%. ABV

Poured from a brown 12 oz. bottle. Has a rich golden color with a 1/2 inch head. Smell is strong of citrus hops. Taste is hoppy, considerable bitterness, citrus, resin, finishes dry. Feels medium bodied in the mouth and overall is a solid beer.

They managed to give this session IPA plenty of hops while still keeping it low in alcohol and balanced. Great Session IPA. My go to for Session IPAs.
