Red 16 oz plastic solo cup. This beer was officially 12 days old, so I'd been anxiously waiting to try out my 1st Fat Heads brew.
I drank 6 of these at a BYOB concert (Crack The Sky) this past Saturday night. The place was dimly lit, so I really couldn't tell what it looked like, but it smelled and tasted great. As I'd get about halfway done each cup, I'd start swirling the beer around, to enjoy how hoppy and fresh it smelled. Very little bitterness, heavy on the flavors.. smooth with a medium MF. I realize this is a session IPA, so I'm grading this on its own merits. I can't wait to take a road trip to buy some more F.H. beer. Well done!

Excited to see Fat Head's was distro'd to PA. Floral. Piney. Pretty one dimensional. Some underlying caramel malt. Nice bitterness for a session. It's ok.

12 oz beer poured into Willybecher glass bottled on 5/3/17

A: Small tiny bubbled white head that disappeared quickly. Body has great clarity Amber orange in color.

S: Light citrus rind smell with a little bit of a burnt orange rind smell mixed in.

T: light citrus, grass, a little melon on the tongue with a good dash of vine like quality and then a little bitterness.

M: Lighter feel good carbonation not as watery as some session ales.

O: It's pretty light on flavor, light on body, light on nose pretty much a session IPA. It is pointless.

For a Session this beer is fantastic. Very hoppy, bitter, with that great IPA aroma. A beer I love to drink in the summer heat.

I can't believe this is a session IPA. This has a delicious citrus / orange flavor. Also a great malt backbone. I could drink this all day. Another great beer from Fat Heads

Classical optics on the pour. Both the nose & the tongue are light on certain things, but that really is the point essentially with these session IPAs. There is a crisp malt backbone - some clean German & crystal - and while the hops are obviously dialed backed they still add a gentle touch of citrus / tangerine flavor. Bitter citrus on the end but nothing abrasive. Certainly one of the better session beers I have come across.

Poured a golden orange body with minimal head and no lace. Hoppy aroma with minimal malts noticeable as well. Smooth body with biting hop bitterness and a minimal sweetness and clean finish.

Nice look. Scent is exciting me; I'm getting pineapple, tangerine and sweet orange. Not getting any malt from the nose. Nice flavor with mildly sweet citrus dominating the start and then a bready malt flavored and slightly bitter finish. Maybe some piney undertones on the end somewhere. Crisp dry finish with decent carbonation. Decent depth for a session IPA. Good beer.
