The colour is brass-red, the liquid is clear. The enormous gold-coloured head is airy; it sinks slowly with a fizzing sound, leaving some lacing on the glass.
The smell is bittersweet with citric notes (lime, grapefruit, orange and lemon peels), caramel and toffee. Some tobacco and ripe red fruits.
The taste is not as sweet as the smell. Caramel and bitter citric notes, mostly bitter oranges and grapefruits. Passing lime juice. Odd passing flavours of green peas and tobacco. Medium to full body. The aftertaste got green plants and leaves, unclean bitterness, sour citric juice and brown toast. The finish got some alcohol, harsh bitter herbs, earth and flowers.
The carbonation is strong, the many small short-lived bubbles are sharp. The liquid is semi-smooth.
Way too much off flavours, and a bit too “brown” for me.
