Light copper color is slightly cloudy. Three fingers of loose foamy head. Lacing is moderate. Smell is faintly of alcohol and Belgian yeast, not very strong. Flavor is slightly perfumy, with fruit, bread, apples, Belgian yeast and a present albeit faint alcohol note. No bitterness. Mouthfeel is light with a medium amount of carbonation.

Overall: This brewery has a great history, being one of the oldest breweries in Belgium. However, I just found it to be lacking in mouthfeel and depth of flavor. The perfumy notes don’t really do it for me, and although the alcohol is light, it it borders on being too liquor like. Just average.
POST COMMENT: As this beer warmed, it had a cider like quality, with clear apple overtones and a creamier mouthfeel. It was more enjoyable this way, and I would recommend letting it warm slightly before imbibing.

11.2oz bottle poured into a snifter. Produced on May 21 2012.

A: Pours a clear golden color with a puffy full 2 finger white head. Lots of visible carbonation. Head takes a few minutes to dwindle down. Leaves some nice lacing on the glass.

S: Yeasty aroma with a malty cracker hint. Reminds me of a Heffe.

T: Banana like yeast, a wheat malt backing. A faint push of hop at the end but overpowered by the yeast and malt.

M: Has a fairly thick mouth feel but that doesnt make it difficult to tip back.

Overall an average Belgian Blond. Nothing that wows but nothing that offends. Real easy going and can be enjoyed by a wide variety of people.

A- pours golden in color with an orange hue with a bit of yeast escaping to the glass. Big, pillowy white head that reduces to a fine layer on top.

S- yeasty, notes of honey, pepper, banana, floral and herbal hops, buiscuit.

T- sweet honey like on the front end, transitioning into an astringent bite, with notes of herbal hop, earthy yeast, and light fruit. The alcohol is warming, but quite subdued considering it is 7%. Finishes dry, but with an intense medicinal linger.

M- medium body and carbonation, foamy creamy mouthfeel.

O- This is a complex brew that transitions into many different flavors, yet balances out very nicely. A strong ale, but high drinkability.

Poured from a 330mL bottle into a unibroue tulip.

A - An overzealous pour yields a white head that is about 70:30 to the body. Golden orange in color and slightly hazy. Head isnt much after it goes down, but lacing is great.

S - Smells of sweet belgian yeast and rich biscuity malt. Hops are a bit of an afterthought in the nose.

T - Sweet and juicy. pure malty goodness. The finish is somewhat soured by a combination of the yeast and bittering hops. Not too intense on hop flavor though.

M - Medium bodied with lighter carbonation. Somewhat sticky but smooth.

O - A solid belgian blond ale and rather affordable by that standard.
