I always forget about this place tucked into Mishawaka/South Bend side bars. This place is the go to place for blues and to be honest I think rivals some of the best blues bars in the states. This place has been around for longer than most people have been alive and Al Capone used to hang out here. Anyways, besides all this I will get on with my review of the place.

A- This place looks like a house from the store front. Once you get inside there are 8x10 galore of past acts that have played there. Most newer blues bars pay good money to make their place look as "worn in" as this bar. You can tell a lot of history has come through these doors from old gangsters to Notre Dame Alumni to amazing musicans. Sure the lighting is not the best and it could use a fresh coat of paint but it would only take away from this bar.

Q- The food here is great if you like things like frozen pizza and the like. I never really care about bar food much anyway unless I'm eating at a brewpub. They care about two things when it comes to quality: music and service. From blues to rockabilly and BMC products to their craft brothers this place shines.

S- Service the times I have went has always been prompt. The bartenders don't like to see you have a empty bottle and are quick to make sure you don't have one. Even when it gets busier the bartender always seem to have everything in order and you are always getting what you wanted.

S- To be honest this place blew me away. This is a hole in the wall bar with a ton of history most places has the standard BMC and their product lines. But this place also has things from: New Belgium, Magic Hat, Bells, Flying Dog, Three Floyds, and a few others. I was surprised to when I ordered a Alpha King and it was $2.00 for a 12oz beer. Seriously?!?! How the hell can they do that and still make money?? I'm not complaining but I don't want everyone coming in here because they saw this! All their craft was this price too. Crazy!! Also, I was informed that the craft is always changing with new things coming in all the time.

Overall I was worried about writing a review about this place because I'm afraid people will come down and drive the prices up. I don't see this happening though. If you want to catch some world class acts stop on by. If you want to be surprised with an amazing selection of beer in a dive bar then this is the place to go. If someone from out of town reads yourself a favor and stop by this place and skip out on the "fake" bars in the area.
