Liberty has 5 locations across the lower mainland but this location is the only one to sell beer. It is located close to UBC and is at the corner of the Safeway at 10th and Trimble. The store is small but at the back is a cooler with some cool beers. The space issue and the fact that newer bigger stores are opening across town make this store less special than it was a couple of years ago when really only Brewery Creek was bringing in special beers. You will find some American micros such as Pike, DFH, Anderson Valley, Rogue and Pyramid. I have seen beers in here such as 3 or 4 Propeller styles or hard to find seasonal releases that make the trip worth it. The staff is fairly helpfull but they often seem to be wine guys or girls who drink beer as well. The pricing is on par with other stores but sometimes it is higher by a bit. Worth visiting if you are near UBC but with all the new stores providing more selection such as Brewery Creek, Viti, Firefly and West Van Liquor Store it not really necessary to go out of your way.
