As others have already stated, this store is the big fish in a small pond here in S. MD. Offering a decent selection of American crafts, plus above-average imports from Belgium, Germany, and the UK, amongst others. Be prepared for some sticker shock if you're used to shopping in N. Virginia where the competition keeps prices reasonably lower. Since this is my local, I will shop here from time to time to get my fix, but would never go here if I had the option of going elsewhere closer to the city where prices and selection are substantially better.

Rosewick's is one of the better places to get craft beer in S. Maryland (Waldorf/La Plata). The service is good, although the knowledge isn't there, they are very helpful for what they know. I think they're much more knowledgeable about wine than beer. There's a pretty good selection of Belgians and US Craft Brews. The prices are usually less expensive the The Wine Shoppe in Waldorf. Usually 1-2 bucks cheaper for a 750ml- especially for the Belgian stuff. If you don't feel like driving into Northern Virginia, this is a 'go-to' place in Southern Maryland.... Recommended for Southern Maryland. If you're in N. Virginia, there are better options.

This is definitely one of the better places to shop for beer in southern Maryland. Rosewick Wine and Spirits offers a variety of Belgian, English, German, and American craft brews, including Corsendonk, Maredsous, Chimay, Fuller's, Weihenstephaner, Aecht Schlenkerla, Stone, Smuttynose, and more. The store seems primarily focused on wine, but there is a significant amount of beer from which to choose.

The staff is friendly, but offers little in the way of help and / or craft beer knowledge.

Prices here are generally a bit higher than one might find elsewhere. Again, there are not many establishments selling craft beer in southern Maryland, so the price markup is just something that must be tolerated if you don't have the time or means to get to D.C. or Virginia, where the beer stores are quite a bit more plentiful.

This is a nice, kinda quiet place that is really convenient off of 301. Nice atmosphere with the wooden floors and relatively low shelves that allow you to see across the entire store. Don't quite know why I found this to be a positive, but there's something about having a good line of sight in an entire store makes me feel better. Selection was either really, really good for a strict wine store, or rather average for a beer store. Since it's name implies a wine bias, I will go with the prior. It is obvious that the proprietors, while realizing that they have limited space to dedicate to beer, made a conscious decision to at least offer as wide a variety in breweries and styles that they could. The number of unrefrigerated beers was o.k., but the coolers offered a better selection by far. Would have like to have seen a "build your own" six pack option, but they don't. I did not interact with the staff until I checked out, but the fellow that rang up my sale did seem friendly and appreciative of my business. Overall, given the ease of access, selection, cleanliness, I will certainly look forward to stopping in every time I travel through the area.

located in a strip mall on the outskirts of La Plata, Rosewick is a large store with a ton of floor space dedicated to wine and liquor, while the beer is almost all in coolers with a small room temp. display, mostly six-packs with a small bomber/750 selection, great range of breweries including Troegs, Stoudts, Clipper City, Southern Tier, Stone, Smuttynose, Weyerbacher, Lancaster, and one I haven't seen anywhere else - Metolius IPA, which actually turns out to be a Pyramid brand, they don't carry the special stuff needed for a 4.5, but it's far better than the other two stores in the area (Colonial and Wine Shoppe), I left with a bomber of Sonoma Farmhouse, no quality issues noted

service was fine, I was approached by an employee but declined any assistance, both gents working the store were friendly

when I'm reluctantly forced into the area on business, this is the place I'll hit up

Rosewick is a new place that is in the new Rosewick shopping center that is off 301 in La Plata. Very nice inside with good lighting and wood laminate floors. This is one of the best places to buy beer in Southern Maryland due to the selection, probably the best. There is a large selection of American micros and imports. There are 4-packs, 6-packs, and a good selection of bottles.

Too many varieties to name. This is not a warehouse sized beer store, but there is plenty to chose from. You can buy some of the beer warm, but the majority of the beer is in the cooler. It would be nice if you could build your own 6-packs here, but unfortunately you cannot.

Service has always been friendly for me. They have wine tastings every Friday, and I have tried to talk the managers into having beer tastings as well.
