500ml bottle served in a tulip. 2016 release.

Pours dark reddish brown with a huge amount of carbonation but zero head retention. Smell is tart and cherries -- smells like Rodenbach (this is a good thing).

Taste is sweet-tart, lots of cherry/dark fruit flavor. Maybe a little date. Can't pick a lot out right now, but it's quite tasty.

Mouthfeel is light and very effervescent. Overall, quite tasty beer. If you like Rodenbach, I think you'll like this.

I had this beer on-tap in a snifter at the 2014 WABL Belgianfest in Seattle.

Appearance: dark brown-red hue with a very light cloudiness. Quite nice, indeed.

Smell: light, sour cherry aroma. Not terribly complex, but there's a good level of sourness here and I happen to really like krieks.

Taste: lightly sour with a moderate cherry character. It's quite woody, with a lot of vanilla and a bit of butteriness. I like it.

Mouthfeel: moderate-light body; fizzy, if not creamy. Decent for the style.

Overall: a good, if not spectacular, sour cherry wild.
