12oz can served in a tulip. Canned on 07/06/17. I've had this so many times, but never reviewed it. Some leftovers after my son's birthday party gives me the opportunity.

Pours dark brown with a smallish head and not much carbonation. Smell is coconut, coffee, and plain old roastiness.

Taste is more coconut (clear, but not overwhelming). Moderately sweet, some coffee and again the roast.

Mouthfeel is moderately thick and slightly sticky. Overall, I'd say it's one of the better porters in the state (but there's not really a ton of competition).

12 oz can- Pours very dark brown with a medium tan head with great retention. Aroma is roasted malts, generic porter, cocoa, coconut is there, but not in your face like Death By Coconut by Oscar Blues. The flavor is roasted malts, coconut, chocolate balls, dry bittersweet chocolate actually. Medium body, well smooth well balanced finish. Not bad.

The best coconut porter ive had to date. A solid ported enhanced with coconut, NOT overpowered and washed out by the coconut. Would highly recommend, one of the best beers on my Washington trip.

Dark reddish-brown. Breakfast roast coffee flavor and sweet, molasses aroma. I don't like coconut enhanced beers....but this one is delicious. Shared it with my friend that really goes for "coconutty" beers, and they love it. The coconut is there, but just barely.

A very nice Porter, with only a fleeting hint of coconut. I have had it many times in a 22 oz. bottle, and Black Raven recently released it in 12 oz. cans. Very drinkable, as evidenced by the speed with which the 6-pack disappeared from my refrigerator. Coco Jones has some attributes of a stout, perhaps a little hoppier than some porters. Very good value at less than $5 for a 22oz. and around $9 - $10 for a six-pack.

Not heavy at all. Good flavor. Lighter colored. Great porter, definitely not as heavy as stout.

There's some terrific natural coconut flavor in this beer, but the base brew into which it was integrated otherwise seemed to have as much, if not more, in common with a cream ale than a porter. I don't wish to mark it too low because I enjoyed it, but cannot mark it too high because it strikes me as somewhat misplaced in this style.

Medium-dark brown from the bottle.
Malty, coconut nose. Mild but nice.
Light on malt, not sweet. Definitely some hoppy bitterness. Hints of licorice.
Mouthfeel is about right for a porter, though lighter than I usually prefer.
Finish of mild coconut and bitter malt.
