Dark reddish-brown. Breakfast roast coffee flavor and sweet, molasses aroma. I don't like coconut enhanced beers....but this one is delicious. Shared it with my friend that really goes for "coconutty" beers, and they love it. The coconut is there, but just barely.

A very nice Porter, with only a fleeting hint of coconut. I have had it many times in a 22 oz. bottle, and Black Raven recently released it in 12 oz. cans. Very drinkable, as evidenced by the speed with which the 6-pack disappeared from my refrigerator. Coco Jones has some attributes of a stout, perhaps a little hoppier than some porters. Very good value at less than $5 for a 22oz. and around $9 - $10 for a six-pack.

Not heavy at all. Good flavor. Lighter colored. Great porter, definitely not as heavy as stout.

There's some terrific natural coconut flavor in this beer, but the base brew into which it was integrated otherwise seemed to have as much, if not more, in common with a cream ale than a porter. I don't wish to mark it too low because I enjoyed it, but cannot mark it too high because it strikes me as somewhat misplaced in this style.

Medium-dark brown from the bottle.
Malty, coconut nose. Mild but nice.
Light on malt, not sweet. Definitely some hoppy bitterness. Hints of licorice.
Mouthfeel is about right for a porter, though lighter than I usually prefer.
Finish of mild coconut and bitter malt.

This beer hits the brown Porter style perfectly. Aroma of chocolate and vanilla, which could be the toasted coconut. Flavour is a little subdued but otherwise coffee an toffee like. Soft carbonation and mild hopping. A very nice Porter

Appearance is not totally dark like I was expecting. It's a clear, dark brown that does let some light through.

Smell is metallic, teaish, and has enough coconut. Molasses, too.

Taste is pretty much like it smells, but I can add a few more flavors I sense. The molasses element gets way stronger, and some tobacco and dark wood (mahogany?) join in. If coconut were something that stood out to me, it would be very toasty. It's not like anything I've had before. Good, but not super good.

It actually has a really nice feel for such a dark brew. Not thick, but not thin. The aftertaste is pleasant toastiness.
