I stopped at the Trolley in Dayton during my brief morning visit to Dayton. I visited pretty much every one of the Wright Brothers' historic spots, the Art Institute and ended up at the Oregon District in downtown. Found parking right across from the Trolley!

This is divey-old (but clean) bar, unassuming from the outside. You wouldn't think much of the joint judging from the facade. But it's got character, cool tin celiings and good beer.

Eight brews on taps, including Oberon, Mystic Mama, Bear Republic Brown, Warped Wing Pirogue, stone Stochasticity, Cuvee des Jacobins and Founders Porter. Priced between 4 and 7 dollars, except for Mystic Mama at $2.50 (which sadly had kicked before I got there).

I had a veggie sandwich that was tasty but small at seven bucks.

Good spot. Not terribly amazing, but good enough.

Tiny hole in the wall place located in Dayton's Oregon District.

Always a decent tap selection available with around 15 craft brews that get rotated regularly. Offerings from Stone, Founders, Great Lakes, Bells, and DFH are seen frequently. They also have a homemade cola that is quite tasty if you don't want a brew.

The food is sort of upscale bar food. Burgers, sandwiches, salads and soups are all reasonably priced. The potato soup is pretty good and rivals the Irish Pub across the street.

The staff is always helpful and usually knows their stuff about the beers. It can get a little packed on weekends with the live music crowd so its best to visit some time during the week.

They do hold special tasting nights a few times a month and sometimes offer special rare tap parties.
Overall a pretty cool place worth checking out.

Nice rotation of beers on their 10 taps with the fantastic policy of "no crap on tap". Once a month they host a beer tasting headed by the local beer store/brew shop Belmont Part Supply. Food is good quality at a good price and the service is decent. On some busier night it seems a little understaffed. Atmosphere is fantastic with live music frequently. Recently they started a growler co-op with a few of the other downtown bars in order for the patrons to take great beer home. All in all, a nice place to eat and have a pint!

I like what Jason has done with the beer selection & beer events. Continuously rotating taps and always a nice variety, I have no problem finding something to drink. The Dogfish Head/ Stone event was fantastic with Stone anniversary 11, Sublimely Self-Righteous and Immort ale on-tap. I also enjoyed the Left Hand Brewing event, 7 different Left Hand beers & talking with Eric Wallace from the brewery. A friend of mine got me into their potato soup, it's fantastic. It's a must stop if you're coming to Dayton.

Several visits over the last couple of years, most recently a couple of days ago. I usually go in during the day when it isn't as busy as when the bands are playing. If you live in the neighborhood you get a discount on food. The food is very good and inexpensive; selection is mexican influenced, i guess. Fantastic black bean soup.

When I moved to Dayton about 2 years ago I would have reviewed their beer selection as a 2.0. Now I gave it a 4.0, so they are really trying to get some decent beers on tap. I only held it back from a 4.5 because a lot of time the selection wont be balanced (no stouts or porters, a few very similar beers, etc.) and they only have 10 taps. 10 taps is fine, but to get a really good grade, they all have to be pretty impressive. Nevertheless, I try to get back once every week or two to check out the new stuff. Their website stays pretty up to date on their taps.

I only see 2 or 3 different bartenders in there and they are all friendly and pretty cool when they have the time to talk to you.

Worth some regular trips for sure.
