"Seven is our most aromatic beer. The brewery's saison yeast is fully expressed in the aroma with lots of fruitiness while the hops provide light spice notes. The beer has some heft mid-palette but finishes dry with a lightly lingering bitterness. Seven is satisfying on its own but pairs great with a variety of typically fragrant cuisines such as Thai or Indian."

Malts: organic pale, pilsener, organic munich
Hops: magnum, mt.rainier, hallertauer mittelfrüh, liberty

Another one courtesy of Thirstybird. 750ml bottle. Pours a hazy orange-gold with a frothy, bright white one inch head embedded with ringlets. Aromas of citrus, candi sugar and rind comprise the nose. Taste consistent with nose - very herbal, almost Duvel-esque in flavor and somewhat hot. Mouthfeel is light-medium with a lively, almost prickly carbonation, and a semi-dry finish. Extremely drinkable with some of the qualities of a Farmhouse but closer to a Belgian Strong Pale (a la Duvel) than a Saison in my opinion. Nonetheless, I would buy this often if I had easy access to it.

[Original rating 2013-06-14] Draft at Henry’s 12th St Tavern Portland OR. Pours cloudy gold with a thin white head that fades quickly leaving nice lacing. Aroma is spice, straw, sweet caramel. Taste is spice, black pepper, sweet malt. Nice palate thicker than it looks.

Cellared 2 years, 3 months. Served in a tulip.

Appearance: extremely carbonated. After pouring only a few ounces, the head overflowed out of the glass, despite the beer being refrigerated. The head has excellent retention. The body is a light-golden with a slight haze.

Aroma: sweet, bready malt with Belgian yeast aromatics. Nothing spectacular.

Flavor: sweet malt and bready with a mildly sweet dinner roll flavor. Minimal if any hops and no alcohol.

Mouthfeel: light - even more so considering this beer is 8% abv. A 750 ml would be no difficult feat to drink by yourself.

Overall: so-so. This beer was underwhelming. No aspect of this beer was impressive: this beer was average A to Z. There are better saisons readily available. This will no be a repeat purchase.

Hazy golden colour. Initial head is expansive and lofty dropping down to a lacey rim.
Much more aromatic than I'm used to from a saison.
Taste is gratifying. Subtle, flavourful, bitter with a dry finish. Spicy and rustic.
Great mouthfeel. Substantial body and good carbonation.
Nice beer overall. Very enjoyable.

Bottle: Poured a hazy bright blonde color ale with a nice large foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of floral rustic malt notes with light spicy yeast undertones is just about perfect for the style. Taste is a wonderful mix of floral rustic notes with some spicy yeast undertones and light hay notes with limited residual sugar notes. Body is full for style with the right amount of carbonation. Super good drinkability with great level of complexity. Excellent choice of yeast strain for this beer.
