Had on tap at the Upright tasting room.
appearance - pours a cloudy yellow with very little head, lacing is minimal
smell - apricot, wheat
taste - apricot, although not as pronounced as i expected, yeast, slightly tart
mouthfeel - light and clean, lingering finish, medium carbonation
drinkability - very refreshing, good spring/summer ale

In honor of their first anniversary, Upright brewed this farmhouse ale with an addition of apricot puree. The apricot contributes most to the beer's densely clouded color. Apricot flavor and smell are otherwise minimal. In fact, if you didn't know otherwise, you could easily drink a full serving and not know there was apricot here at all.
Though the absence of fruit flavor is disappointing, the beer is abundantly refreshing without it. The taste is sharp with lemon-zest, saison character and dry wheatiness. The aroma is restrained to a brief whiff of cereal though its near absence doesn't seem limiting. Drinkability could hardly be easier though the standard malt'n'hops comparative model doesn't apply.
Very refreshing. And though the apricot is timid, at least it's not saturated with perfumy extract like you'd get at Pyramid.
