Bottle conditioned, 500ml with next too no life left when reviewed.

Poured into a straight sided sleeve pint glass: Deep Ruby Red in body, the cream coloured head fell away to leave some lacing as the beer sank in the glass.

The aroma was chocolate and vanilla, the front label tells you this, and that is what I found too. Behind that smell was a heavy malt presence, which gave it a rich, opulent smell.

The flavours however didn't come over as strong in the taste and I thought the beer a bit thin and lacking in a robust 'Winter Warmer' sort of Christmas way.

Enjoyable, but could have been so much more.
