Style: English Stout

Alcohol by volume (ABV): 5.10%

Notes / Commercial Description:
Incubator #4 is brewed with HM Terry Sewansecott oysters added 10 minutes before the end of boil. This rich, roasty stout is brewed with flaked oats for a smooth body, and a light addition of earthy English Fuggles hops that plays off the subtle brine note from the oysters. Full bodied and lightly sweet, this stout is an approachable blend of Eastern Shore seafood and English brewing traditions.

IBU: 22
Hops: UK Fuggles
Malt: Pale, Crystal, Flaked Oats, Chocolate, Black, Roast Barley

Growler poured into a pint glass

A- Black with a small tan head.

S- Chocolate, roasted malts, a nice earthy smell, and a touch of sea air.

T- Roasted malts, chocolate, some earthy bitterness, and a nice brine finish.

M- Smooth, medium body, creamy with nice amount of carbonation.

O- A great stout, very enjoyable. Kind of reminds of Lucky 7 on-cask. Would love to see this bottled!

Had on tap at Specific Gravity. Informed this was an oyster stout.. A well done stout with English Malts and Hops married with Eastern Shore Oysters. Pours a full balanced pour with 3/4 inch head and good retention. Deep dark ale with ruby hints. Reminds me of Marstons. Aroma is bright with sweetness and touch of bitterness from malt and hops...then touch of sea air. Slightly brackish.Taste is rich and full stout with excellent brine from oysters. Caramel, dark fruit, hint of strap molasses, hint of metallic and salinity. Smooth medium carbonation; medium mouth feel...classic to the style. Top notch oyster stout!

Served on tap at EVO Brewing company.
A: dark reflective slate. Dark maroon undertones. Thin light watery butter chilled foam head that lightly coats the edge of the rim.
S: sweet dark cherry, vanilla bean, cherry oak, super sweet malts.
T: this starts off as a cherry malted milk stout and ends as a frothy chocolate malted oyster stout. Sweeter than most oyster stouts but the alcohol is beautifully masked behind the sweetness. This sucker will sneak up on you!
M: frothy, sweet and delicious. A highly enjoyable drinking experience.
O: this is one of their better incubator series. I highly recommend it for any stout lover.
