750 ml bottle at the brewery - in November 2014 so a year aged. Poured into snifter.
Black in color, nice tan colored head. As the beer warms up, the flavors really stand out and are very pleasing. Vanilla, oak, mildly roasted coffee and dark chocolate. Very smooth and balanced flavors. Mouthfeel is nice - lower carbonation and thick enough body.

A - Pours pitch black with a thick toffee lacing ring.
S - Light bourbon, oak, and dark chocolate.
T - Nice blend of dark chocolate, bourbon, oak, and vanilla with a lingering dark bitter chocolate and bourbon finish. No burn or warming on the way down.
M - Medium heavy body, velvet smooth on the palate.
O - This is a really enjoyable beer, wish I picked up more bottles.

*25.4 oz. Bottle* snagged this bottle about a week and a half ago. Well, I'm excited to try this! Ok pop the top and see what we got. I poured this SOB in my Chimay Chalice. This pours black as midnight with a frothy mocha head. Looks great to me! The aroma on this beer is hints of Bourbon, cocoa/chocolate, vanilla undertones and licorice. Roasted malts play in the background. Now, I'm going to taste this. Bourbon! The initial flavor is pure Bourbon without the alcohol heat. Roasted malts sweeten the flavor perfectly. There is a hint of tobacco, I know sounds weird but whatever. Vanilla comes through and does a dance on the taste buds for a minute. There is less licorice in the flavor than the Aroma details. Subtle hints of cocoa are present. Bitter earthy finish comes through balanced and clean. More bourbon and chocolate in the aftertaste, yum. The feel for this brew is Medium bodied with soft carbonation.
Overall: This is Bourbon County Light! Not as heavy as BCBS, but in a league all it's own. This is my first time trying this brew. This is a great beer without comparison. Evolution is continuing to impress me with each brew I drink from them. This brew is recommended.
