12 oz bottle, dated March 2016, poured into snifter

A- A clear amber color with a two finger white head.

S- Pineapple, tropical fruits, some grapefruit/citrus, hints of pine, smell slightly sweet malt backbone.

T- Pineapple, some grapefruit, mild malt backbone, piney/earthy finish, balanced. Pineapple has nice touch of sweetness and tartness.

M- Smooth, medium body.

O- Evolution did a great job with the pineapple. Easy to drink. If Lot 3 with pineapple sounds good to you, pick it up because that's exactly what this is.

Nice copper color, tinge of pineapple on the nose. Fresh flavor, crisp with the tinge of fruit on the aftertaste. Dry for a "fruity" IPA, nice hop mix per its name.

I'd buy it again and drink a few, especially on a hot day. Seems more sessionable than it likely is per its alcohol content! Great product and addition to the beer world!

Great west coast ipa! Orangish yellow in color with off white head. Yummy sticky fruity goodness! Lace hangs in glass....sticky sweet residue. Fruit citrus forward with sharp hoppy finish. By far one of my favorite fruit ipas.

Typically not a fan of IPAs. Picked this up hoping the pineapple would cut the typical bitterness. I was not disappointed. Not an overpowering smell, but very smooth. Can taste the pineapple on the tongue. Will not forget it is an IPA. Well worth a try.

Pours a clearish copper color. The head is a finger high and off-white in shade. Retention is rather unimpressive, and only small streaks of lacing stick to the glass.

Make no mistake - Lot 3's complex, nuanced hop profile still shines nicely on the aroma. I get good amounts of mango, melon, grass, tangerine, and papaya. Of course, it's impossible to ignore the pineapple aspect. While it's the dominant player, the other qualities aren't overshadowed. Caramel malts don't seem to be particularly perceptible, however. Of course, that just means everything comes together as a distinct yet cohesive whole - exactly the way it should be.

I first pick up a mild grassy flavor. After a brief mid-taste featuring some caramel malt, the tropical notes appear on the back end and aftertaste - pineapple appears first, and melon lingers nicely on the palate. Like many Evolution brews, it features both sharp balance and distinctive flavors. Bottom line, it just works.

Despite the slightly assertive carbonation, it has a great feel on the tongue - rounded and cake-y, with a great mouth-filling sensation. Not overly sweet, not overly dry, it's just right. Drinkability is excellent.

Personally, pineapple isn't my favorite flavor in an IPA (or any kind of beer). Looking at this objectively, though, it's a wonderful fruited IPA. Nothing overpowers, but everything rings in a defined manner. Basically, it's another rock-solid beer from Evolution.

4.09/5: I mean, how do you argue against Lot 3 IPA with pineapple?
