I had this on cask at Max's during the jalapeno cask event at Max's. Served in a tasting glass.

Appearance: The beer pours a dark brown/almost black color with no head showing up at all.

Smell: There is a strong hot sauce like note, a bit like buffalo sauce. Just a touch of vinegar along with the heat. Behind the heat, I'm finding the raisins and cinnamon.

Taste: There is more going on here than there was in the smell: Cinnamon and dark fruit along with a mild tingle from the hot peppers. The malt flavor is a bit chalky with some dark chocolate as well. The finish is full of cinnamon and some pepper spice.

Mouthfeel: The body is medium with a few tingles of carbonation and a dry finish.

Overall: I thought this was a nice effort, but some more pepper might have been a good thing. Still thought it was well put together.
