Look- Copper with a quickly dissipating head. Pretty standard, but appetizing.

Smell- Piney hops up front sweet malts with a gingerbread-esque alcohol mixture in the background. Actual reminded me of bourbon a in a very very faint sense.

Taste- Hops hit right away with a tinge of sweetness cascading with the carbonation. Very piney in a pleasant way, but leaves a pretty dry finish that is partially forgotten by the thicker mouthfeel. Very good 2x IPA, but a bit too hoppy in my taste (and i have no issue with hops). The hop finish is skating dangerously close to palette-wrecking levels while maintaining a tolerable level. The booze is well disguised.

Feel- Pretty chewy, reminiscent of Hopslam in mouthfeel.

Overall- Picked up a single 12 Oz bottle when I found some Grapefruit Sculpin at a local bottle shop and had heard some good things about it. Glad I got to try it and glad that I decided to with food. I love double IPAs, but this one skated too close to all the things that can ruin the style for me (mouth drying hops, hop finish, a bit too piney, etc.). Recommend it, easily above average.

Had an off smell after pouring. I can only describe it as funky. Very boozy tasting with an initial sweetness that wasn't expected. I can see the appeal but it wasn't for me
