Poured from a 12 ounce can into a cider glass.

A: Clear copper, mild effervescence, no head.
S: Amazingly fruity with a very distinctive mango (light peach) aroma. A bit candyish/artificial, but not remotely unpleasant. Powerful and one-dimensional.
T: The candy notes persist upfront, and never really disappear, although a brightly dry malt follows with a trace of earthy bitterness. Ballast Point does fruity beers very well. The sweetness is slightly unnerving, but never cloying, and the overall effect is excellent...if you like tropical fruit.
O: Compelling drinking and compelling ABV. If you've ever savored a Jolly Rancher or a session IPA, this is the beer for you!

355 ml can, 3.8% ABV, from Bris Ølutsalg, Jørpeland. Orange to amber colour, slightly hazy, moderate white head. Aroma of orange marmalade and dust, hints of mango and pine. Fruity and piney flavour, hints of mango and coconut, bitter finish. Good body for its low ABV.

June 7th, 2016 - Ballast Point's mango brew gives the session ale trend just the slightest kiss of ripe mango. It's a dark looking brew, contrasting with how ephemeral the flavor is. A light breeze of mango and strawberry comprises the smell, with a characteristic and memorable peppery quality. The flavor is also very light and soft, with that aforementioned kiss of mango and a quick-to-enjoy mouthfeel.

Canned January 2016; drank 2/21/16 @ the Yarchives.

See-through orange appearance.

A rough pour yielded a huge off-white head; strong, frothy lace.

Strong mango, cane sugar & blood orange notes in the nose.

Medium thin mouthfeel.

Mango soda flavor up front; dry wheat & mild honey notes on the finish. Refreshing fruit soda vibes; golf heaven!

The regular Even Keel was my go to session until I stopped finding it on shelves. I enquired to find that the mango variant was selling far better and replaced it, but for me this one is awfully artificial-tasting.

Deep copper gold color with good white cap and lacing.

Aroma of citrus hops and ripe mango.

Taste is hop forward that emphasized a fresh citrus approach resting on the ripe fruit tinged malt base. Mango is present from start to finish but remains a servant to the hops. I believe there's a touch of pine in the hops as well. I also find something in the aftertaste that I can only describe as slightly nutty. Don't know where that comes from but I like it.

Medium texture with balancing carbonation.

It's balanced, refreshing and a bit more interesting than the usual Session IPA but it's not something I find interesting enough to buy again.

Gold with thick head. Smells of mango, earthy, citrus hops. The mango is strong in the flavor too, with an earthy and citrus hop flavor taking a back seat. Kind of bready, but not strong malt. Dry.

Tasted in a snifter from a 12 fl oz can at 129 Center Cut on November 29, 2018. This hoppy, session ale gets a flavor boost from mango, which perfectly plays off the citrusy hop bouquet.

Poured from can into a pint glass

Appearance – The beer pours a clear orange amber color with a fizzy white head. The head fades rather fast to leave a trace of foamy lace on the sides of the glass.

Smell – The aroma of the brew is strongest of a mango smell mixed with other aromas of bready aromas as well as a bit of grass and herb.

Taste – The taste begins with a somewhat more bready taste that has a hint of mango sweetness. The mango grows slightly stronger as the taste advances, but it never gets too overwhelming. All the while some dank hop tastes start entering the flavor profile. These grow stronger to the end, and leave one with a moderately sweet, but nicely dank hopped taste to linger on the tongue.

Mouthfeel – For a brew of only 3.8 % abv. the body is rather thick with a carbonation level that is one the moderate side. The feel is actually rather nice for the mango and hop, as the thickness seems to accentuate them and make them “heavier” in taste.

Overall – A rather nice session IPA. At only 3.8 % abv., this one has tons of body and flavor. A nice, lightly fruited, and somewhat more dankly hopped session IPA!!

A: Poured a foamy 2 finger head. Color is clear, dark apricot. Good amount of sticky lacing

S: Immediately smell of mango. it mixes well with some floral hops

T: Heavy hop bitterness with a good (and nicely restrained) mango sweetness. It culminates in a deep earthiness. It's as if the seasons changed and the pungent hops browned with the season.

O: A bit too much on the hop bitterness for my taste. It also only has that one singular note. Straightforward, specialized brew that's just ok.

Clear amber, half finger of foamy head
Very fruity. Ripe mango and peach dominate
Malty and bready, some pineyness and hop bitterness, plus with what I imagine is the taste of mango peel. Kind of cough syrup sweetness at the end
Medium body, kinda gross feeling
I don't know why I keep trying fruit beers, I never enjoy them

Very nice as the mango washes over your tongue just enough to remind you you bought a mango beer. Not overpowering and neither are the hops. Pretty smooth and different. Give it a try.

With all the Mandarin, tangerine, bloof margarine ipas out this summer, this is the only one I could stomach on a regular basis. Why? Because it's balanced. The fruit doesn't overpower, the hops don't overpower and judging from other summer fruit offerings, this must be a rare feat. I see in the other reviews about an artificial taste. To me, this tastes like natural mango, even down to the green off flavor parts a mango produce. It's not the slushy mango flavor or the mango chutney flavor, but rather the overripe mango at the market flavor. If ballast managed to produce an artificial version by of that flavor they're in the wrong business. If you are suspicious of fruit beers, try this one.

The citrus hops and mango flavor work in tandem to create a really solid summer brew.
