A beer most real craft beer aficionados will probably hate on. For me, this is my favorite out of all the Ballast Point brews I've tried.
Some fruity beers are sweet which immediately turns me off. I want the flavor of fruit without the sugary shandy taste. Too many of these sweet fruity beers just taste like cheap wine.
This beer on the other hand, just tastes good. It's NOT sweet. It's a creamy mango taste. It doesn't taste watered down at all. It actually tastes quite bold for a 3.8% abv beer. Very apparent pleasant mango taste and smell. Kinda a vanilla thing goin' on too but mainly tasty mango fun.
With all the mango flavor, this still tastes like beer. It leaves you with a mango taste that then turns bitter, reminding you that you are in fact drinking beer.
This is one of my favorite beers I've tired recently and I see this as something I will consistently drink for years to come.

355 ml can, 3.8% ABV, from Bris Ølutsalg, Jørpeland. Orange to amber colour, slightly hazy, moderate white head. Aroma of orange marmalade and dust, hints of mango and pine. Fruity and piney flavour, hints of mango and coconut, bitter finish. Good body for its low ABV.

June 7th, 2016 - Ballast Point's mango brew gives the session ale trend just the slightest kiss of ripe mango. It's a dark looking brew, contrasting with how ephemeral the flavor is. A light breeze of mango and strawberry comprises the smell, with a characteristic and memorable peppery quality. The flavor is also very light and soft, with that aforementioned kiss of mango and a quick-to-enjoy mouthfeel.

Canned January 2016; drank 2/21/16 @ the Yarchives.
See-through orange appearance.
A rough pour yielded a huge off-white head; strong, frothy lace.
Strong mango, cane sugar & blood orange notes in the nose.
Medium thin mouthfeel.
Mango soda flavor up front; dry wheat & mild honey notes on the finish. Refreshing fruit soda vibes; golf heaven!

The regular Even Keel was my go to session until I stopped finding it on shelves. I enquired to find that the mango variant was selling far better and replaced it, but for me this one is awfully artificial-tasting.

Deep copper gold color with good white cap and lacing.
Aroma of citrus hops and ripe mango.
Taste is hop forward that emphasized a fresh citrus approach resting on the ripe fruit tinged malt base. Mango is present from start to finish but remains a servant to the hops. I believe there's a touch of pine in the hops as well. I also find something in the aftertaste that I can only describe as slightly nutty. Don't know where that comes from but I like it.
Medium texture with balancing carbonation.
It's balanced, refreshing and a bit more interesting than the usual Session IPA but it's not something I find interesting enough to buy again.
