My brother brought this beer back from CA for my bachelor party weekend, thanks L!

The beer pours a perfectly clear, deep golden color, think very ripe hay. Medium head, that dissipated quickly leaving solid ringing around the edges of the glass.

The nose is really interesting, where most IPA's I find have distinct piney, grapefruity, citrusy, or other floral type noses, this beer is very malt forward. As the beer warms I do start to get some slight peach notes (emphasis on slight).

The first taste is malty and then quickly gives me a big hit of hop bitterness. The bitterness really lingers on the palate a long time and tapers off very smoothly. The bitterness lingers on my palate for up to a full minute. For a beer rocking at 7% alc, this beer is incredibly well balanced.

This is a very good IPA. Obviously not available in Maine, but a beer that I would certainly purchase again if I were in an area that carried it.

Great IPA! Very strong in flavor. Subtle hints of citrus keep it smelling and tasting fresh and crisp. Definitely one of my top favorite American IPA's, wish it was more popular in NC!
