Poured from a bottle into a pint glass. Nice golden color with a one finger creamy head, slowly dissolving. Excellent floral nose, hint of citrus. The nose of this is very distinctive. The taste starts slightly bitter and piney but finishes clean. Excellent carbonation for balance and mouthfeel.

Poured from a 12oz bottle into a tulip

A: Deep golden in color and topped with a nice head of white foam that is 2 fingers in size. After a few minutes the head eventually settles to a thin collar of multiple tiny bubbles that stay for the remainder of the drink. A good amount of lacing is left clinging to the sides of the glass.

S: Fresh, juicy citrus hop aromas jump right out of the glass. I'm getting orange and mango, with some grapefruit as well. There is some piney hops in the background, but they are dominated by all the citrus aromas. A pretty strong nose considering this isn't a double IPA.

T: The taste of this beer perfectly matches the nose, and for that I give it a 5. You immediately get smacked with clean, crisp flavors of grapefruit and orange with some pine. The flavors are very hop forward, but you can tell there is a good amount of malt used by the fact that there is only a small amount of bitterness. The malt is there purely for balance, as it is barely perceived when it comes to the flavor.

M: This beer has a medium body with a moderate amount of carbonation. The mouthfeel is very clean/crisp with minimal bitterness. It is extremely refreshing and the fact that it has barely any bitterness makes it go down very smooth.

O: Sculpin IPA is a great beer that is EXTREMELY drinkable. There is big, fresh flavors of citrus hops with a good amount of malt to balance it all out. Pretty much a perfect representation of the style with perfect balance, this is without a doubt one of the greatest IPAs that is readily available. In the small amount of time it took me to write this review, I downed 3 of these beers like it was nothing. They are dangerously, dangerously drinkable. I just kept reaching for more and more until my glass was empty. These are outstanding and without a doubt have just become my new go to IPA!

So much flavor and so drinkable. Very nice balance of flavors and perfectly smooth. I would drink this everyday.

This is my go to beer and if I had to pick one beer to drink that is readily available this would be it.
Pours a nice gold / honey color with two fingers of white head. As I drink from glass there is nice lacing that is left behind.
A great smelling beer with hops and citrus at the front.
Tastes like the perfect IPA plenty of hop flavor followed by the citrus.
A great beer and what I would use as an example of a west coast IPA.

This is definitely a classic IPA. Not too hoppy, large aromas of fruit. I can drink this anytime. Perfect for any meal and not too rich on flavor and taste. In my top 10 for IPAs.

This ranks near the top of the list for American IPA for me. Poured from a can into a tulip. Nice gold color with copper highlights with 2 fingers of white head. Light lacing. Smells grapefruit, some floral notes. Tastes of citrus, earthy hops, maybe a little peach. Mouthfeel is medium but kind of creamy. Good carbonation with some bite. Well balanced beer, full of flavor. Nice clean hoppy finish. A great beer

I have always wanted to try this but, never like the price. Has a very balanced taste. A mild fruity and citrus feel. Easy to drink. Nice color. Not overly bitter.
Overall, a great "Go To" IPA.
