This is my only review where i erased the previous review due to an old bottle. This is like a different beer all together

On tap at Mad Mex

Appearance: Its dark in here but looks to be a orange color

Smell 4.5: candied citrus fruit. A big grapefruit nose; Orange and lemon peels

Taste(4.75): this one of those few beers that i find the taste better than the smell. Probably the cleanest tasting ipa iv ever had. Bright Grapefruit, orange and lemon peel, and the balance of pale malts is perfect.

Mouthfeel 4.75: light medium body; perfect bitterness and carbobation makes this super crisp and refreshing

Overall: Top rated regular ipa for me without a doubt. I dont know if iv experinced cleaner, brighter, and vibrant hops in a beer. Now i see why people say this is what they compare their ipas to. This should be in every bar across america. Just about perfect and dont really see this improving. World class indeed

That being said, i cant afford to have this nearly as often as id like due to it being $20 a six pack. I just randomly get it at bars during happy hour. Maybe that's a good thing so i don't get tired of it lol

Poured from can into tulip glass. Very nice golden color. Good 1-1.5" head. Awesome smell. A citrus, hoppy, piney smell. Get a hint of grapefruit. Tastes just like how it smells. Delicious. Great feeling in the mouth. Not a long lasting or overly bitter aftertaste. Nice carbonation. This is near the top of my list. Great beer.

A. Golden in color - clear through glass with lots of carbonation. Head is 2 -3 fingers and settles into a one finger foam.

s. Citrus and pine.

t. Perfectly balanced hops and malt. Slight sweet on the finish.

m. Carbonated well, smooth

o. My young son insisted I buy this beer, which I knew nothing about, because of the cool fish on the bottle. To my surprise when I looked the beer up on BA, it was a 98. When I tried it this evening, it delivered. I would highly recommend having children who like fish - er- this beer.

Very clear, pale orange in color and a foamy white head with great retention.

Aromas of mango, apricot, and white peaches backed by a slight undertow of grassy pine and charred/burnt caramel.

Very juicy taste, again with the same notes of tropical fruits, but the taste is a lead by tangerine with a touch of grapefruit and grassy, light resin toward the finish. Sweet malt presents a lightly charred caramel on the end as well.

Softly yet amply carbed, with just enough bitterness and a hint of alcohol to give a softly drying finish and ward off any sweetness. Very well-balanced.

Overall, continues to be a readily-available and stellar -- if not world-class -- IPA. Just wish it were more affordable on the east coast.
