With Aloha Sculpin, we used Brux Trois yeast to turn our award-winning IPA into a tropical oasis, with bright and refreshing notes of mango, pineapple and guava, along with a slight haze and smooth mouthfeel.

Pours a cloudy honey orange with a finger of foamy head that slowly settles to a thin cap with some lacing. Faint aroma of citrus and tropical fruit. Taste follows nose. Refreshing.

Picked up as part of a mixef twelve pack at Curtis Liquors in Cohasset, MA for twenty three dollars. No decipherable canned on date on the box. Cam shows 8/8/23, which explains the stale, skunks taste. Thanks.

Can pour - murky and turbid dark orange-ish juice with short white head leaving frosty lacing. Nose is ripe with tropical fruit and citrus. Taste follows with hints of sweet malt and a slight lingering citric bite on the finish.

Deep gold, almost orange in color with an off-white lacing cap, this is a beer that comes at you with a volley of flavors that unfold through the long dry finish. There are a lot of flavor angles present here: citrus, tropical fruit, a slightly funky doughy interlude followed by a dry citrus run-out. Love when a beer takes you on a flavor journey. This is a good one.

Hazy gold appearance with a large lasting fluffy white head that left good lacing. Yeasty, bready aroma in the forefront gradually ceding to familiar notes of tropical fruit. Same tropical fruits turn up on the palate while getting a boost from some citrus, especially in the aftertaste. Every time I think things are going to tip towards more bitterness, softer fruits stand their ground. Medium bodied, well carbonated mouthfeel.

I got a can of this beer off the single shelf from a beer store in LaCrosse, Wisconsin. It poured a hazy orangish with white head that is leaving some lace. The scent had citrus peel notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with bold citrus peel spice through the drink. There is tropical fruit presence. The mouthfeel was medium in body and had good carbonation. Overall it is a solid beer.

12 ounce can in a pint glass.

Hazy copper-orange color liquid with a foamy near 2-finger eggshell white cap. Sticky lacing.

Fruit aromas are subtle but noticeable, perhaps due to the yeast. Pineapple and mango are there with dried tropical mix and a note of lime.

Yeast carries a fresh dry dough flavored with the aforementioned fruits.

Yeast makes the feel smooth and dry, medium bodied. Finish is dry with a fruit flavor mix.

More subtle in flavor than other Sculpin that I’ve had yet still enjoyable. The 7% abv didn’t slow its easy consumption. And no juice, thanks for that.
