Presentation: It was poured from a brown 12 oz bottle into a tulip glass. The label lists the abv at 7% abv.

Appearance: The body has an orange amber color with a light haze and lively carbonation flowing up to the head. It’s head slowly settles from tall thick and creamy off white foam. A light coving holds on till the last sip.

Smell: This is one of the highlights of this beer. It is full of floral, citrusy orange and sweet tropical fruity notes of papaya and mango.

Taste / Palate: On the tongue hop bitterness is king. The flavor is darker and more bitter than the nose suggested. The malt lays down a nice sweet bready base but the hops quickly take over with orange pith and deep resinous bitterness which hangs on long into the finish. The palate feels right on and balanced with good lively carbonation.

Poured from a 12 OZ. bottle into a pint glass, Aroma- I really enjoyed the hop and citrus feel coming off of this brew, Appearance- this IPA had a great dark orange color with a one inch white head. Taste- strong hop presence with a healthy dose of citrus and possibly a hint of caramel(?) Palate- a full slightly bitter finish that I really enjoyed Overall- one of my favorite IPA’s it is a fairly hard beer to find in Douglasville, GA but when I see it I often purchase of six pack of it.

pours a slightly cloudy cognac with a medium head that poofs. nose; caramel, rich bread, honeydew, citrus zest, & piney hops. taste; caramel malt, lemon rind, lightly resinous pine, rye, light mango, & light melon. slightly dry with some oily zest bitters & a rye-like pinch on the end. medium carbonation & mouthfeel. the rich malt, ethanol, & hops are extremely well-balanced here leaning towards the malt. great example of a west coast ipa. delicious! it feels like this is ballast point's "90 minute ipa". this is the malty answer for their less-malted sculpin.
