This used to be a wine only store called Mark Anthony. It is located next to the Safeway at 25th and Oak. The store is medium sized with the beer at the back. I have found the selection to be quite good with lots of hard to find BC beers including all the Driftwood selection. A good selection of US craft including DFH,Rogue,North Coast and Anderson Valley is rounded out by some Belgians and English beers. Service was very friendly and knowledgeable and I like the feel of the store. Pricing is on par with other stores and parking is plentiful. This is close to Firefly and Brewery Creek ( and the main LCB at 41st and Cambie) so if you have a vehicle you can make a beer run to search out those hard to find beers

I was crazy enough to carry my luggage with me and walk several blocks from the Skytrain station to this beer store, which is located in a small shopping center with a Safeway and Shell station. Surprise! They've got a lot of BC breweries in stock (Granville Island, Tree Brewing, Central City, Phillips, Okanangan Springs, R&B), but also some imports (Duchesse de Bourgogne, Brooklyn, Young's, Gulden Draak). There's a small cold box for some of the beer in store. I checked out quick, put a few pieces of merchandise in my baggage, and scrambled back to the Skytrain station.

I worked at this location for just over a year and was, in fact, present throughout the long and painful process of achieving a beer license.

I have, since then, moved on but I really must say that this is a great little store with a staff/manager that is keen on focusing on the craft beer scene (with a particular thrust towards all things local - hence the good selection of BC brews).

When I was there, myself and a couple of others co-workers were huge craft/quality beer fanatics (both of them are heavily into home-brewing as well) and, amongst us three, the topic of conversation usually revolved around beer - way before our beer license actually went through! Therefore, at the time, this store had a very knowledgeable staff.

Unfortunately, none of us three work at this store anymore - this leaves me to wonder what direction it will take in the future. However, as all good BAs would, we always tried to help educate our fellow co-workers who had little to no prior knowledge about the local/import craft beer scene.

Thankfully, I think we left a good impression on the immediate management and staff about what quality beer is all about and I am confident that they will continue to carry as many quality/unique brews as they possibly can. They are great people who have really embraced the qualities of what a good beer can bring.

Aside from all that - as I said before, the selection is highly respectable given the limited space the store has for its beer and they are always looking to bring in new and interesting things. Furthermore, for a private store, their prices are very reasonable (the lowest, on average, of any private store - in Vancouver - that I have seen so far).

With a friendly staff that is always keen on answering questions, this place has a nice, homey atmosphere that is a welcoming sight for all: craft beer newbies and BAs rejoice!

I also know that the store has recently become a corporate member of CAMRA (Campaign for Real Ales) and has, and will continue to hold events/tastings tailored towards educating the average citizen on the wonderful world of beer.

Overall, this store has a friendly, knowledgeable staff that is always looking to carry new products and honestly strives to give the customer the best bang for their buck. It's a certain must-visit for any BA, local or abroad.
