McKay's Taphouse and Pizzeria

Only been here twice, but love it. Simple and unpretentious, it's "just" a neighborhood pizza place with a great tap list and a very nice bottle selection. My experience is limited, so take that under advisement, but I know for myself that I will definitely be stopping in here the next time I visit town.

 

 

This place always has good beers on tap. The pizza and salad there are good. The prices are very reasonable and the place is family friendly.

On another note, the place needs a face lift, interior update, and more parking.

McCays Taphouse has a great selection of beer. Sometimes you can not find beers anywhere else. If you are looking for a great pint of something that may be hard to find, this is the place. Decent bottle selection too. They host a trivia night on Wednesdays? That is a blast. Their pizza is ok. Not bad, not great. But you can order by the slice, so this is nice. Service is usually mediocre.

McKay's Taphouse is a great place to go and grab a beer. The atmosphere is very laid back. The staff are all really nice, especially Dave the owner. He is the best. They have about 15 beers on tap and even more in bottles. Also since it is a pizza pipeline you can get good pizza while there. Their prices are reasonable, and if you hit the happy hour from 11-6pm its $1 off pints. Also if you buy a pitcher you get a one topping medium pizza for $5. This is my favorite bar in Bellingham. The don't have hard alcohol, but if you want a good beer head to McKay's

Visited with two friends all of us are beer enthusiasts. Pizza was amazing to start. loved the eclectic if not extensive collection of drafts and bottles.

Enjoyed several rare beers that were all reasonably priced. owner is extremely knowledgeable and plans on expanding to 40 taps in the near future. All drafts were a 1$ off during the day.

The service and selection of pizza was amazing. Noted that they had live music in the evenings and even pizza by the slice during the day. Great atmosphere, loved the taps everywhere.

Look forward to some cask events in the near future when the cappacino machine is gone!!

Noted the Brewer nights and will be back for sure. this is one little piece of beer heaven that you don't want to miss if passing through bellingham.

A nice little neighborhood bar that sits at the end of a strip of motels, Mckays is a comfortable place for both locals and visitors. A recent visit featured more than 25 beers from breweries such as Pike, Rogue, Hales, North Coast, Elysian, Deschutes, Boundary Bay, Bear Republic, Trade Route, Skagit River, Lagunitas and Stone. All the beers I've had seemed fresh and the lines clean. Happy Hour is 11am-6pm daily, with $1.00 off all pints. Pizza is available, unsurprisingly, as this bar is attached to a pizza joint. Mckays is family friendly. A decent place for a pint if you live in the neighborhood or are resting for the night.
