Appearance: A hazy tawny in color with a large white head, which fairly quickly collapses to scattered islands of foam and a small collar . An occasional fat bubble rises lazily to the surface. There are scattered flakes of sediment at the bottom of the glass.

Aroma: Slightly sweet and faintly malty, with a very mild hop presence.

Taste: Mellow malt flavor up front, with hints of nuts, sugues to a mild citrus hop flavor, which carries the taste to a clean finish, with just a hint of orange hops at the end of the taste.

Mouth feel: Smooth and fairly full, pleasant, with soft carbonation on the tongue.

Drinkability/notes: A well crafted pale ale, which does not over emphasize hops as do many of the style. A very pleasant and drinkable session beer.

Presentation: Packaged in a pint brown glass longneck with a poptop crown. Served in a standard pint tap glass.

This Pale Ale poured a beautiful amber and was cloudy. A great malt & hop nose with a barely noticeable citrus twinge to it. The flavor is smooth and feels great on the palate. Sweet and malty with a delicate balance of hops on the tongue with a hint of citrus on the palate. I really like this one - I should have bought more. I will definitely be buying this one more frequently.

As stated on the label, this beer is dedicated to Emily Morgan who is the woman behind the song and legend of “The Yellow Rose of Texas” for her involvement in the Texas Revolution. It pours a medium copper color with a nice white head. The aroma is of sweet malts and citrus with hints of a hop bitterness. It is very smooth in the mouth with a malty and nutty flavor and only a small amount of bitterness in the aftertaste. A very drinkable beer.
